I'm glad to see Peter not married to MJ anymore. People act like she's crucial to the comics, but she's not. There are a lot of great Spider-Man comics that don't have a married MJ.
I don't like retcons. And I hate bad stories. However, the direction is good. All it takes now is some quality stories where people actually LIKE MJ and Harry etc. again and we're set. Until then, we can watch the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. =)
Why are u so desperately trying to cover Quesada's fucking ass? He messed with the most famous and loved super heroe in the world, there is no excuses. I think so.
You know I called marvel and dc with an idea to do a comic about alzheimers and the proceeds could go to the alziemers association. I talked to the PRESIDENT of DC Paul Levitz who i am sure is pretty busy for 30 min. I left a message on quesadas machine two months ago.....still waiting joe. I think Marvel has sucked since Quesada took over as editor in chief.

Joe brought us Civil war, Planet Hulk, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, etc.. and SM kicking kingpins ass. So what if he fumbled this one. no biggy, and remember when he caused fanboys to have shit attacks over SM's gold& red outfit. he got it written out of the story line. So relax, it's only a comic character, anything can be changed with it.

You asked for it: Joe Quesada (Marvel's Idiot-In-Chief) decided that Spider-Man is better as a single loser living with his walking corpse of an aunt, so he had Spider-Man do a deal with the Devil to save his aunt's life. What was the deal? Aunt May's life for Peter's marriage.
No, really. And now we have a single loser Peter Parker living with his 500-year-old aunt and hanging out with Harry Osborn (who was magically resurrected by this useless semi-reboot).
Because they can't write fun stuff for him because he's married ?. Invalid reasoning Joe. Yes the marriage was rushed to lift the sales back in 70s, yes it was a dramatic move from Stan Lee. However it was WORKING !!! For 2 decades !!!
What a load of crap. I also think that was a bad idea. This was a good, no a very good opportunity to decease May Parker for good, i mean I also thought, as everyone else, this time she had to go and Peter had to learn to live without her. This would break their marriage, they would break up after that, but that would be more "realistic" which is one of the reasons why I like Spidey over Supes. And it would've served Joe the Q's idea : "Soap Opera" of a Super Hero.

According to Joe Q. Past 20 years weren't without MJ. They just didn't marry at all and were just a couple and recently they broke up. That's his explanation for now. He says they had a wedding day but it didn't happen and they'll tell the story in a little while what went wrong. What a load of crap.
You sir, are brilliant! Don't forget to email him back the last 22 years worth of your Amazing Spiderman comics and ask him to explain how every single one of those plots still works without MJ!
You should have mailed him the comic, intact, and asked for a refund. That would have been more inspirational, maybe other people who bought the comic would decide to do the same thing.
It hurts to see him destroying the comic, even sucking as it does.

I'm a fan who hates Mary Jane and prefers Gwen Stacy times x1000, and even *I* hate the hell out of OMD.
Even without it I am boycotting anything with Quesada's name on it for Sins Past alone.
Quesada ruined Spider-Man. I hope he gets fired ASAP.
