The Hollywood episodes were a way for fans to see what the soundstage that TSL was recorded on looked like.

I thought it was great that one of the directors for T.S.L. (Richard Correll) got to go in front of the cameras and do some acting himself.

Popular TV shows sometimes do this sort of thing. One such show that comes to mind was "Boy Meets World".

Now that T.S.L. has ended production, it will be interesting to see if the spin-off show, "Semester fc" is just a popular.
