MM, Good to see you out of the 'beer and baccy bunker'... I favour the darker beers. Loving the limericks.. though when i was a boy they all used to be about ladies that dids to their backs.. but us pipe smokers are far more gentile. Cheers, T & N
hey, T - i like that description -- 'beer & baccy bunker' -- better'n the 'man cave' (although that certainly works, too) -- I'm with you re limericks back in the day - someone was always getting @#$%ed or &I)#%ed, eh ; ) I still think Crow's is the tops but enjoying all the submissions - take care. an arf for the hound - MM
now there's a thought - i could get rich - you guys would take up a collection and pay me to shut the hell up! ; ) take care, D - MM oh yeah...thought your limerick of pipefriend was first rate - imho...you & Crow are tied for first - good luck to you both!
after 3 glasses from 1 bottle (sort of like the oil lamp from hannukah kind of thing), the wee pooch was starting to growl - yeah...tasty smoke if you enjoy latakia & perique - I liked - take care, Blondie ; ) MM
great vid, your making me thirsty. Sounds like you had a good day, watch out for that black magic (haha) You really have me curious about this tobacco company.
hey, M - yeah...it was pretty easy going today - I liked the combo of latakia & perique in this BMW blend - neither seemed to over-power the other - don't think I'd smoke it all day long, but as a treat couplafew times a week...that would work - been using ice cleats around here lately rather than snowshoes - weird winter, I'll tell ya - bye for now, eh! MM
i suck at these kinds of puzzles, E - i'll have to wait for the vid - oh wait-weight-wate... I got it - the brewery joint - you're getting a rep...where in the hell else would you go? ; ) 1812 - Sackets Harbor Brewing Company & Pub - where men are men and sheep run for d'hills! lookin' forward to the recording - play safe, MM
Howdy, MM! Thanks for the beer review. I do love me some IPA, especially ones that come in gigantic bottles. When I get a chance, I'll try and do a review of my favorite IPA from Dogfish Head brewery.
Thanks also for the kind words about my limerick. I'm not too sure that this thing's locked up--there have been some really fun entries, and more keep rolling in, which is great.
Hey, Crow - Dogfish Head brewery - where do people come up with these names, eh? ; ) look forward to the beer review - I hoofed it over to the pooch's place, passing the gov't liquor store on the way - thought I'd pick up something different for later - the IPA caught my attention - after the dog & I got back from our mosey, thought I'd treat myself - not a bad treat - hoppier than I prefer, but not bad - bye for now, eh! MM
@popecrisco: I've a couple bottles of the 120 in the cellar, and it is probably my favorite. If you age them a couple of years, the heavy hoppiness that usually marks them tends to mellow a bit, leaving a much sweeter brew.
I tried the 60 and 90 at a local beer festival last year, but to be honest, other than remembering that I liked them, I don't recall much about their character. Cheers!
Hey, R - yeah...it's a nice place. most of the shelves behind me are filled with books and a huge CD collection, all belonging to the pooch's 'human companion, Dianne, who's off catching some R&R time in the sunshine - I'm simply puppy sitting this evening - a mini-holiday of my own over here ; ) take care, eh! MM
Hallo, C - I initially restricted the upload to private so I could add the information to the vid before going public - you're a quick one, lad - anyway, I's glad you gave my ramblings a boo - the beer's not bad - a little too hoppy of a finish for me - your German wheat beers are my favourites so far - I'm trying others beer just in case there's something even better ; ) - just like tobacco, eh? take care, eh! MM
Wow MM you found the place civilized humans dwell. Did you not feel odd and out of place in this clean dry ambiance ? Well if your back in your man cave have a great night my friend. Safe motoring pard.
you said it, Salam - I've joined civilization coming over to the puppy's place - not only is it nice, it's nice-n-warm, too - lucky dog! ; ) I'll be back at d'shack soon enough - going to enjoy this while I can - take care, eh! MM
Hey MM! New transmission location today eh? Mrs Flieger loves the IPA so I'll show this video to her. Not sure we can get the brand here though. The BMW 'baccy sounds yummy from the description on JFH. Agree with you on throwing everyones limerick hat in the ring - It IS fun! Joffre did a good thing.
howdy, Mike - yeah...I'll be real surprised if you get this particular pale ale over in your neck of the woods, then again...one never knows, do one? ; ) the pooch's place is quite a number of quality 'step's above my shack, that's for sure - I saw the camera and I thought I'd give 'er a go - worked pretty well, eh? ; ) til next time, take care, eh! MM
Thanks for your videos. They are fun & informative. I am not a fan of IPA's either but you made that beer look mighty good....

@cacrow would that be the 60, 90 or 120? I kinda have a place in my heart of those three, and most decent IPAs when the weather is a tad warmer.
