  • Great mix... WHERES THE OIL? well its EVERYWHERE hahaha

  • Indeed

Where did all the oil go?

    Rush Limbaugh was right?!!

  • @GovernmentSham912 Unless Rush said a third of the oil would be hidden from view over a ten-thousand square mile area by thinning it with toxic dispersants, I'm fairly certain Rush was dead wrong. The ocean didn't "absorb" it and bacteria didn't "eat" it. It's still out there, much of it now below the surface.

  • @BI30

Yeah notice i have a question mark.

Rush was right in the most idiotic sense.

President Obama recently announced most of the oil in now in fact gone. Mainstream news is now saying this thing was way overblown. Much like the swine flu hoax. They were going to use the military. Also force upon us a rushed vaccine.

  • @GovernmentSham912 Sorry. I couldn't tell from your use of punctuation whether you were serious or not.

  • Rush was right! The oil is underwater where it will do less damage. The Gulf of Mexico will absorb it naturally, it's been doing that since the first drop seeped from the ocean floor eons ago! The liberal agenda is obvious.......cap and trade is their goal!

  • @patriot473 Why is Rush's demographic so easy to pick out of a crowd?

"The oil is underwater *where it will do less damage*"??? Tell your oceanography professor to give you a refund. Oil below the surface will do less damage than oil on the surface? It's not like anything actually LIVES beneath the surface. The Gulf is now a toxic soup, and the biology of the Gulf has been changed forever (a number of species are either gone forever either through migration or mutation.) Oxycontin-boy is nuts.

  • @BI30 I understand it wil definitly effect the food chain, but oil underwater and offshore is much better than onshore, that is why dispersents were used. After the Ioxic 1 spill of the coast of Mexico in 1978, the crab populations on coral islands along the coast were reduced to only a few percent of normal about nine months after the spill. And this was with no clean-up, skimmers, and dispersents.

  • @patriot473 You DO notice you just said the crab population returned to an area were "dispersants" WEREN'T used?

  • @BI30 The jury is still out on dispersents, alot is still unknown so we shouldn't jump to comclusions. From what I understand they break the oil up into smaller particles so they can be eaten faster by bacteria. Species will return, the earth will heal itself, it's been doing it since the begnning.

  • @patriot473 A new video just for you. See the new Video Response above.

  • @BI30 Reasearchers are going to study the effects for years to come, but for them to get funding, it has to be a disaster. Just like Global warming, the facts were intentionally tweaked, it is a fact. The bacteria in the Gulf will eat whatever oil is left......eventually. So to say the ecology is changed forever is wrong. I hate that this happened as I visit Biloxi Beach everyday and my brother-in-law is a shrimper. But I bet the shrimp and fish come back lot faster than you'd expect.

  • @patriot473 Besides the fact that you can't "physically" see the oil in the gulf, what has changed? This argument that "bacteria will eat the oil"... where does that come from? More than 20 years after the Exxon Valdez, the bay still smells like a gas station, and that was 1/20 of what spilled in the Gulf. Re: Global Warming, no facts were "tweaked". Out dated unscientific means of measurement were eliminated from modern data reports. That isn't "tweaking". Stop listening to RightWing radio.

  • @BI30 It is called "bioremediation". Oil is 100% boidegradable. As for global warming, Tree data showing global temps going down didn’t mesh with actual recorded temperatures, so pains were taken, (most of the time disclosed, but sometimes not) to use actual temp recordings and “hide the decline” from trees. Sometimes, on the so called hockey stick charts that show global temps as a flat line and then a sharp upward spike are indeed mixing tree ring data and actual temps. Emails were leaked.

  • @patriot473 You're making my point. Oil is biodegradable. Dispersant isn't. On the tree-ring data, that's exactly what I was talking about. "Tree ring data" is reliable only under normal circumstances. In colder-than-normal years, the growing season was shorter and the rings were narrower. In warmer-than-normal years, the growing season was longer and the rings were thicker. But EXTREME heat also results in less growth and narrower rings like in cold seasons, skewing the data.

  • @patriot473. And yes, those email "leaks" were refutiated by the scientific community. Yes, can you believe it! Science does disagree with itself from time to time. But the BEST science always wins out. The problem with you global warming deniers is, you don't stay on top of whats current news. And then you use old news and your propaganda to try and debunk global warming. Nice try though. Become a climate scientist and maybe you might know what you're talking about.

  • So, WHERE IS the oil? Rush has proven himself right, again. Mother nature (that is, God--the God our nation used to put their trust in) has taken care of it's dissipation.

  • @ptbennett1 Grab some scuba gear and you'll find it.

  • Once again Rush Limbaugh proves that he's just smarter than the rest of the liberal media, but hey that's not a huge accomplishment. Where are all the oil whiners now? The only remaining problem for the environment is the oil that actually made it to the wetlands because Obama's Corpse (Obama's pronunciation) of Engineers prevented the states from acting quickly to stop it because they were concerned about how the prevention measures would affect the environment! LOL LIBERALS ARE STUPID!

  • @MrFreeLibertarian You seem to prove the point that I'll never reach the "top fool" no matter how many replies I respond to.

Hundreds of thousands of gallons of toxic dispersants have been poured into the Gulf, sinking much of the oil so most of the slick is floating hundreds of feet below the surface (Limbaugh and his ilk are so dumb they think just because they don't see it, it doesn't exist). And now, instead of concentrated in one place, it's a toxic soup across the Gulf. What oil? Moron.

  • So where is all the mean, nasty oil that's supposed to be in the Gulf? Looks like Obama and co. really screwed this crisis up. They really failed to take advantage of it. Good job dragging their feet on the response, though, and constantly demonizing big oil. Here was a "crisis" tailor-made for them to take advantage of, and further exploit the American people! Those fucking idiots could mess up a one-man parade. They've already fucked the economy... wonder what they'll botch next.

  • @jmn120176 I can't tell if you are being serious or sarcastic. Yes, I too wish they had used the crisis to push the country to get off oil (though Obama DID state this in his most recent radio address), and the economy has started to stabilize (think of a parachute. You start in freefall, then you slow your decent by pulling the chute. You don't fly back up to the plane, you've simply stopped yourself from slamming into the ground and splattering your brains on the concrete.)

  • Looks like the dispersants worked... Good show BP! Shrimp anyone? LOL!

  • This had to be one of the most screwy, half-assed coverups is human history.

  • Could we dump Rush and Brit into those oily marshes now and watch as they try hard to hold on to each other? Proceeds from the TV documentary would go to wildlife rescue.

  • No wonder people who watch Fox News and listen to Limbaugh are so stupid.

  • what happened to that oil shortage we were having last year? doesnt look like to me were having any kind of shortage, it was all a bullshit scare tactic

  • @thomas242007 Actually, the "oil shortage" that drove gas prices over $4 a gallon took place two years ago in 2008; Bush's last Summer in office.

  • @BI30 yeah i remember that, but to be fair the media has been pushign the thought that we are having one of the biggest oil shortages in histroy its really a perception game theyre tell people were having an oil shortage and theyll beleive it, thats what they think anyway, and when i heard them say that i said it was bullshit then and still do, kinda like with the "h1n1 vaccine" shortage

  • @thomas242007 It deserves mention that despite the massive amount of oil that has flooded the Gulf so far, roughly 150mil gallons, would feed our oil consumption for just 5 minutes. As much as we are seeing, it doesn't come even CLOSE to justifying more drilling.

  • My GOD ... years ago Hume was actually a good news reporter ... now he's just a mouthpiece for Stupidity. How ANYONE with two brain cells to rub together could listen to these morons and think they are even remotely close to telling the truth is as sad as it is mind boggling. Idiots ... every single one of them.

  • Just because idiots on the right playing arm chair quarterback say stupid shit does not justify the weak response from our government to protect our shorelines. While BP was trying to fix the problem out there, thousands of people could have been sent to the shoreline to protect the marshes. Lots of finger pointing but it's still Obama who failed at leadership, hope his golf game improved and Barbara Boxer got paid!

  • hume jesus well take care of everthing,,, he fly there and suck up all the oil.

  • truth: earth sciences corp recently completed a study of natural seeps in the gulf and conservatively estimated them at 22 million gallons annually (twice the exxon valdez). you can read about it on the nasa website, or sciencedaily, geology d0t c0m and others. 600 sites are seeping. but in much smaller amounts, spread all over, places that have been leaking forever and to which the residents have adapted eons ago. nothing like this bp gusher.

  • @windham666 Let's assume for a moment that's true (it isn't, but lets assume it is), then I repeat Hume's question: "Where's the oil?" If twice the Exxon Valdez seeps into the Gulf (every day? Month? Year?), why isn't the Gulf choked with oil, covering our beaches with black tar? Arguing "seepage" spread across the ENTIRE gulf, is like dismissing an Earthquake by comparing it to the vibrations caused by people walking throughout the United States.

  • wow! I did not now how erudite Hume and Limburger is. They must be scientists in their spare time

  • How the fuck do people listen to this garbage.

  • Right-wingers exposed.

  • Fox News and Rush Limbaugh - they reflect the mentality of the brainless people who are stupid enough to believe anything they hear from these idiots

  • took obama over a month to even remotely do anything.

    lame.

  • @hash121212 You might want to watch even the first 30 seconds of the video before making a public arse out of yourself.

  • @hash121212

What the hell? The coastguard was on the scene THE VERY FIRST DAY

  • This video is a little unfair because Hume said that over a month ago before any oil hit the shore. I am sure he and others hoped and believed the pipe would be capped long before now. You know instead of making videos to attack others how about making one on what all is being done to stop the oil and what plan are to clean it up. Who is involved and what can people do to help? The media today is so poor.

  • @quizerry You are stupid or simply an idiot? Hume should have shut the f up. Hume should have said "we'll see.. let's hope they can fix it before it hits the shore".

Not seeing the point of this video is beyond self-blindness. You are a bigot.

  • @quizerry I despite Conservative apologists. The dates were included in the video for a reason. It was but 4 days after his comment that the first large pools started to reach shore. According Limbaugh and Hume, the ocean floor "naturally seeped" more oil than this every day, making a "cap" unnecessary.

  • @quizerry ---- IT WAS NOT OVER A MONTH AGO.

Brit Hume is the biggest idiot around!!!!

  • @quizerry If Hume would have had his staff spend just a few hours doing research he would have known that the ONLY thing to ever control a blowout like this is a relief well.

If everything goes right, it will be late August before that happens. That makes it easy to figure that the oil is on its way.

What can people do to help?

    1. donate to food banks in south louisiana

    2. reduce your consumption of everything

    3. boycott Bp

    4. stop sending industry whores to congress & the white house

  • @quizerry

Sorry, but Hume was implying that because the oil hadn't yet hit the shoreline, it didn't exist. Which is asinine, as the oil spill crisis was very real long before we could see it from the shoreline.

Commentators can sit on the side and brag about their own ignorance, but real journalists do actual journalism.

  • @quizerry Why don't you stop making comments defending Hume, Limbaugh and other conservative corporate mouthpieces and start making comments that reflect reality?

  • i love it, "when did this spill go from no big deal to obama's katrina". it's when it's politically correct for the "christian"republicans to lie.

  • FOX should never let a total idiot like Brit Hume on the air again.

    God, he's dumber than a 3rd grader!

  • @DillonDee1 FOX is full of total idiots, 24/7. is it really so surprising?

  • This could be stopped with a nuke but that would threaten BP's recovery of the oil from the pool. BP are willing to delay so they can still capture the oil from the relief wells. For those living on the Gulf, life is changing, forever.

  • @rollsthepaul That is my thinking too. BP has no intention of fixing it. They don't want to waste all the money they injected into that project.. finding the well, drilling the well, getting the oil from it. Now the US gov. wants them to plug it for good? No way! This is outrageous. I hope Obama means what he says.

  • @pascal77d If you want to know if Obama means what he says, look at Wall St. The criminals that drove us into recession and, oh yeah, depression is on the way, are the same one's who were given the task of correcting the wrong. The correction turned out to be "business as usual". The increased regulation bill for Wall St., is a joke, since it will not change anything that matters, like I said, business as usual. The Gulf disaster is a ditto to Wall St.

  • @pascal77d

This well is of no use to Bp now. FACT

They would have to start with a fresh well to do any extraction on this formation.

Stop hoping for Obama to do anything other than what his corporate masters tell him to do.

  • @rollsthepaul

Oh please, enough with the nuke BS!

Where do you people come up with this crap? Want some facts? Go READ - not post at the oil drum

Bp isn't capturing shit from this well. Go learn what a relief well is before spreading garbage.

  • Part of being a Right Winger is never admiring you are wrong.

  • So Brit Hume truly is a dumb as he looks. Look at that face!: "Where's the oil?"

As far as Fat Limbaugh, we should have used him to plug that oil leak long ago -- shoot him with all the junk right into that blowout preventer!

  • @quenuca Yes, Brit Hume is one very stupid fucker.

  • Hume and fat ass pumpkin head Limbaugh have no fucking brains in their fucking heads ! two fucking morons !

  • GENIUS!

  • Stupid right wingers. Total assholes.

  • Fox just sucks. They prove it over and over and yet they get great ratings. The reason? Fox fans like to be told what to think and that is the scary part really.

  • Where's the oil? Where's the global warming? These fools are a waste of time. Unfortunately they've got the best platform a fool could want...FOX.

  • Fox News: Bringing news to people with an IQ of 50 and below.

  • @twilite142 I dassagree, i don't think that s*it can be called "news"

  • The GOBPer's will say and do anything to help Big Oil just like they have blocked increasing the amount of liability they should be responsible for! Keep voting Republican Gulf States they have your back!

  • goebbels would be proud of you rush and britt!!!

  • Neither Limbaugh or any of the corporate suck-ups on Faux News have any grasp of the situation, especially now since BP's 'Top Kill' idea failed miserably.

  • briit hume is an idiot !

  • Someone should mail Britt Hume some of the oil from the Gulf and see if he compares it to "natural seepage" from the ocean floor.

  • @OhioDemocrat

Someone should have Britt Hume and Rush Limbaugh swim or float with lifesavers in the waters polluted by the Deepwater Horizon for 24 hours - one five-minute rest every half hour and no drying while resting.

Let them check their own skins later - experience in their fleshy flesh how it feels to have that goo stick to you.

They might then begin to open their eyes.
