I know all The Who songs thanks to my dad. We lived in Romania when I was a kid, communism and zero records in the stores... My dad went to Italy a couple of times a year in his job and then he bought The who, beatles, stones... He LOVES the who!!!!
@AlNaafiysh And it's so amazing that they can be so heavy with an acoustic guitar. The next song on the album, Love Ain't For Keeping, is so powerful. With Entwistle thundering in the back, literally blowing out his speakers, Moon pummeling the kit, Daltrey's delivery and Townshend practically ripping the strings off his acoustic, it's an earful. Possibly one of my favorite Who songs.

it's a sad day even when classic rock stations can't play this stuff. i love the morning show my classic rock statation does but the music is another story, completely. it's so monotonous, I could scream.
This is a love song. Pete's explanation is about as accurate is Sting's explanation that "Every Breath You Take" was written about Ronald Reagan's supposed War against Personal Freedom.
My college sweethearts were Mary jane & rock &roll. Didn't find a good woman 'til quite a few years later so the voice of Daultry, Jagger, Morrison, and Iggy pop got me through many a lonely night-- that and some killer weed.
The amazing thing about this music is how it connects people. I'm 17 years old and I think The Who are fucking awesome and I really enjoy that music. The very same thing could have happened to some 17 year old kid in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and even in the future. It doesn't matter when you are born, you can discover this music in any time and still enjoy it. I can listen to it with my father, children and grandsons and we will all enjoy it in the same way

HELL YEAH! I am smiling now!
@HonortheCreator i wish he were noticed more often. the man is a god among men, a van halen of the bass, a virtuoso, yet his face and body remain as still as a stone, its amazing...
@PR46797 Few notice the innovative talents of Mr Entwistle. I always thought his bass parts were ahead of their time. He was very creative, and I think led the way to making the bass more than just an instrument to carry the bottom of the chord.
What the fuck do they know about giving up possessions and material goods? Its easy to give up that shit when youre fucking rich rockstars and you own the world. @TallyOne I think they know plentey about giving stuff up. before the movie tommy, the Who was probably the band that was most in debt. @markosborne1969 ....... wow this song has 100x the meaning of your comment and judging by your negativity, quite possibly, 1000x more meaning than your life....
@NStenO yes thats some impressive drumming from that time...but really hands down no question the best drummer now days and has been the last 20 years is Danny Carey of Tool
@mrcharlie6595 I'm going to be nice here.Without Keith Moon Danny whoever his name is would be working at McDonalds....You have to understand....how important he was in modern drumming...I worker with Buddy Rich,Carl Palmer,Bonzo......Didn't w/Ginger......The best over all was Buddy..In Rock it was Keith......Hands down.
I need another one of those drunken nights, where everybody there innevitably starts singing along to the Who. It's the closest one can get to experiencing the '70s after having missed out the first time around.
Have you heard this song "Angel's Share" by this band called "Mustach". Check youtube. A terrible, obvious, poor copy of The Who. That sounds like a mixture of "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "The Bargain". Not sure if they are really trying to promote the song as their own or is it some sort of tribute to The Who? They should know that people are going to notice, that song should be banned in my opinion.
If you are searching for real spiritual informationNeed to go a little deeper?mind reading, astral projection, telekinesis, it is all real.THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM It is time to change the world.
This is awesome! Too bad i was born in the late 90's when music started to go downhill. My grandpa and my dad were so lucky that they grow up in a time with such good music. Actually, they were lucky that they could grow up with all the stuff they had back then. Now its all just corporate marketing. Kinda sad knowing that when I'm older, I'll have to listen to whatever garbage the next generation will listen to. So sad...
@alexander101207 I bet them ICP or other lames, I like new shit when it has some quality, few and far between, I love alot of shit but to not at least respect Moon and the Who is a crime!
Totally agree. Pure garbage with gaga and the likes...no talent, all synthesized crap...
Music will never be the same as it was from the 60s-early 80s. Even some 90s was good, like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana...but today, it's all garbage.
gotta love The Who!! so many good songs, Who Are You, My Generation, Bargain, Baba O'Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again, I Can't Explain, I Can See For Miles, Magic Bus, Pinball Wizard. and theres many more. great band.
Let's face it. Keith was a master of drumming. To date, I cannot think of anyone even remotely like him. I have learned to separate the artist's lifestyle from his/her musicianship and just enjoy the music they gave to us. I mean, Keith's drumming on everything, is so highly fresh, creative, energetic, so involved, and most of all, a LEAD instrument.. On Youtube, there is a portion of a Who song with ONLY Keith, and Roger's vocals (I think it is Behind Blue Eyes) It sounds great.
@stainlesssteelrat100 Hi. Yes, they are my two favorites of all time. I was just thinking that I have not heard anyone who sounds like Keith, but the uniqueness of Bonham, is so, so great. Thank you.
it's the first time that I listen this album on a computer, and I prefer on my record player... viva 70's

@markosborne1969 With your negativity and dissing The Who on one of The Who's songs, you should have expected 5 times the hateful responses. I don't know why you bothered to put that comment up if you didn't expect to get yelled at. A lot.

I need another one of those drunken nights, where everybody there innevitably starts singing along to the Who. It's the closest one can get to experiencing the '70s after having missed out the first time around.

thefoppa1000 11 months ago
Have you heard this song "Angel's Share" by this band called "Mustach". Check youtube. A terrible, obvious, poor copy of The Who. That sounds like a mixture of "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "The Bargain". Not sure if they are really trying to promote the song as their own or is it some sort of tribute to The Who? They should know that people are going to notice, that song should be banned in my opinion.

So sad...

Whitevoice14 11 months ago
@Whitevoice14
LOL! I don't know, but my guess is that the ones who disliked it like today's "music". Today's music, in my opinion is pathetic...
alexander101207 11 months ago
@alexander101207 I bet them ICP or other lames, I like new shit when it has some quality, few and far between, I love alot of shit but to not at least respect Moon and the Who is a crime!
Whitevoice14 11 months ago
@alexander101207 What they sell these kids today as music Gaga Bieber and that sad ass Slipknott and ICP is ad, no balls just bs!
Whitevoice14 11 months ago
@Whitevoice14

@SeattleLA John Bonham of Led Zeppelion also had a very unique and powerful sound imo.
stainlesssteelrat100 1 year ago
@stainlesssteelrat100 Hi. Yes, they are my two favorites of all time. I was just thinking that I have not heard anyone who sounds like Keith, but the uniqueness of Bonham, is so, so great. Thank you.
