  • it's the first time that I listen this album on a computer, and I prefer on my record player... viva 70's

  • "And i'm looking for that free ride to me, i'm looking for YOU"

  • wow, I have already forgotten how good this song is

  • I know all The Who songs thanks to my dad. We lived in Romania when I was a kid, communism and zero records in the stores... My dad went to Italy a couple of times a year in his job and then he bought The who, beatles, stones... He LOVES the who!!!!

  • Great album, so heavy metal.

  • @AlNaafiysh And it's so amazing that they can be so heavy with an acoustic guitar. The next song on the album, Love Ain't For Keeping, is so powerful. With Entwistle thundering in the back, literally blowing out his speakers, Moon pummeling the kit, Daltrey's delivery and Townshend practically ripping the strings off his acoustic, it's an earful. Possibly one of my favorite Who songs.

  • @eyesoftheworld4

    well put - totally true!

  • Love the Who...!!!

  • i have found some strange postings on 2 you-tube sites and am trying to work them out...."qi stephen fry puts alan in his place" and "robert garopa"....go back through the comments for a few months.

  • this song is better than anything the foo fighters have ever put out.....i think even they would agree to that.

  • It feels like going back to the 80's..

And i am 13 years old

  • @MrLegostar9 jaajjaja the song is from 71.....back to the 70

  • @MrLegostar9 I think you will find this was originally released in the 90's. I am 10 years old.

  • @SatansMother Dafuq??? This is from '71.

  • @iD4v1d I was joking.

  • This song , and Won't Get Fooled Again, are the Who at their best. On this song you can hear all 4 of them shining.

  • Bargain of a track . The best I ever had . Taken from the best album of all time , Who's Next .

  • The who has the best collection of outros ever, they know how to end a song!

  • This sound is a masterpiece. The who is a great band

  • it's a sad day even when classic rock stations can't play this stuff. i love the morning show my classic rock statation does but the music is another story, completely. it's so monotonous, I could scream.

  • This is a love song. Pete's explanation is about as accurate is Sting's explanation that "Every Breath You Take" was written about Ronald Reagan's supposed War against Personal Freedom.

  • WHY IS THIS SONG NOT ON MY IPOD?!?!!!!

  • Anyone else think this is the best song off of Who's Next?

  • @301b0y Second; Song ts Over #1

  • @Ronf465 Ah fuck it every song on this album is sold as concrete. This album just kicks so much fuckin' ass.

  • @301b0y No argument here my favorite album of all time

  • @Ronf465 I meant to say "solid" as concrete, not "sold".

  • My college sweethearts were Mary jane & rock &roll. Didn't find a good woman 'til quite a few years later so the voice of Daultry, Jagger, Morrison, and Iggy pop got me through many a lonely night-- that and some killer weed.

  • Just a fucking amazing song. One the best tracks on one of the best albums ever made.

  • @Stratocaster21st1994 Well said !

  • @Stratocaster21st1994 100% AGREED :)

  • great song

  • To me it's the words all fans with unconditional love towards rock musicians want to hear.

  • Bien por su onda espiritual.

  • The amazing thing about this music is how it connects people. I'm 17 years old and I think The Who are fucking awesome and I really enjoy that music. The very same thing could have happened to some 17 year old kid in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and even in the future. It doesn't matter when you are born, you can discover this music in any time and still enjoy it. I can listen to it with my father, children and grandsons and we will all enjoy it in the same way

  • @ustupadasso64 just the best rock band ever...

  • who are these guys?

  • @ustupadasso64 Exactly.

  • @ustupadasso64 are you serious? hope you are kidding.

  • @MrFranciscorrmelega Didn't you got his joke? lol

  • @Luxmaxnike it was a joke? i thought it was a justin bieber fan on the wrong page.

  • @MrFranciscorrmelega he asked if these guys were "who"

  • I'd gladly lose me to find you.

  • "Give me a mandolin, and I'll play you rock and roll"

You were a fuckin' genius, the best who ever had.

  • 15 tards was here

  • Some of Keith Moon's best drumming.

  • It is AMAZING to me how people get on here and DROP names but when you go to THEIR pages they dont have ANYTHING...AMAZING!!! Some people are just full of BS and Christmas turkey!!!

  • This isn't the best song on "Who Next' but it does have the best dynamics, those power chords are just Pete at his best.

  • Can you imagine just how great Life house would've been if Kit gave Pete more time.

  • Keith gladly lost himself just to find me coming back for a replay again and again.

  • I just call this song "The Best I Ever Had."

  • i think of my love when i listen to this

  • Interpret as you please ... it's about the best woman he's ever had.

  • No way is this about a spiritual advisor-- it's a love song.

  • moon had 4 arms-had to

  • best who song imo

  • all i will say is some people are so f*****g stupid i just have to laugh rather than comment to them directly but i sure love keith, roger, john and peter they made some of the best tunes ever no doubt!!

  • THE FUCKIN DOGZ BOLLOCKS

  • PT religious?

He should have been an Irish priest.

    LOL

  • Who's Next...Top 5 rock and roll albums of all time. Nuff said.

  • @GoEagles35 Imagine an album where THIS song is third best.

  • @GoEagles35 Second to 'A Night At The Opera'.

  • 15 people got ripped off.

  • this is why i think the who were the best band that ever walked the earth. they were a rock band that wrote beyond sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll and explored themselves, the world and looked to their futuristic imagination to write songs no one else could even dream of writing. this is why the who are the most interesting, thoughtful, inventive, clever and the best band that have ever lived.

  • great song

  • they were all sodomites.

  • wot a shit hot song for free:)

  • What a bass player The Ox was.

  • Comment removed

  • @HonortheCreator I so so so so so love(d) the Ox. He was badass, but with those massive egos in front of him, well, I guess we know how that worked out. Those of us who love a badass bass line are down; glad to meet another admirer. :-) I guess Rolling Stone mag's readers agree with us as just this year they voted J.E. as the #1 bassist of all time (according to Wikipedia, anyway). HELL YEAH! I am smiling now!

  • @TheOneandOnlyMartha #1 bassist of all time...wow. Glad his talents were recognized amidst the other three extroverts!

  • @HonortheCreator i wish he were noticed more often. the man is a god among men, a van halen of the bass, a virtuoso, yet his face and body remain as still as a stone, its amazing...

  • What the fuck do they know about giving up possessions and material goods? Its easy to give up that shit when youre fucking rich rockstars and you own the world. I work hard every day for everything I have and you play a guitar. Keep your dimestore philosophy bullshit about enlightenment. Youre no better than me, Mr. Townshend.

  • @TallyOne I think they know plentey about giving stuff up. before the movie tommy, the Who was probably the band that was most in debt. Each of their shows they destroyed their equipment for sake of the fans. And its not like being rockstars made them gods. Yes Pete played guitar, but thats his job, Just like you have a job. He had to be pretty good to have that as a job, just like you would have to be pretty good at whatever you do to keep your job.

  • @TallyOne he had to work just as hard as you to get were he did, he went through drug and alcohol addiction and he produced some of hist finset work coming of the back of that. he wrote all of the songs and thats not as easy as it sounds and alot ofthe time he did it alone so give him a break

  • like all the great rockers, they got old. nothing coming out of them these days but wheezes and old rotten spunk.

  • BEST album of all time-----Who's Next

  • Wow! How did you ever learn to separate an artist's lifestyle from his/her musicianship (art). You must be a genius

  • the third guy from the left is peering into my soul

  • @girman08 That's Kieth Moon, arguably the best drummer of all time!

  • @girman08 third guy..as if you dont know the members of who, yet alone keith moon!?

  • 15 people got ripped off

  • Best with a good spliff!

  • Tis a bargain

  • Lol, I just noticed Keith's enormous shoes.

  • How come they just don't make 'em like this anymore???? the Beatles, thaeStones, The Who, Led Zeppelin.........no particular order..... God bless real rock!

  • @DougS193 I know, it's like we're living in the Lifehouse generation. We gotta bring the good stuff back.

  • @DougS193 I think because the industry does not appreciate creative, skillful composing, or humanitarian values. I only listen to classic rock. The Who is one of the best bands in all of history.

  • I like the song anyway. I make it what I want it to be.

  • I get it!

  • it's sad that pete townsend has been led astray by false doctrine expoused by some fat indian guy.

  • @mbrk6827 but what did it do to the music my freind, it made pete write some of the best music he ever did and we have to thank the fat indian guy for that.

  • @alisidey12

It made the beatles break up :C

  • @LgndryThndr aye but the who are better than the beatles so its all good

  • @alisidey12

....I love the who but I'm not going to make such a hilarious claim.

Next you're going to tell me Chubby Checker is the king of rock and roll XD

  • @mbrk6827

I just pretend this song is about a woman or freedom or a really good sandwhich.

  • @LgndryThndr Yeah i mean why bother with whats the most important matter in creation... ;D

  • @lorathin

    Because freewill and freedom.

I don't have to live by your skewed ways. So you should go tell some one who cares, because I sure as fuck don't!

Unenlightened smug self service ad hominem does not impress me.

This song could be about a dodge challenger and should be if thats what you want it to be.

Thats what makes art great, it's subjective, this song could apply to a great many things and that my friends is what makes this song " Timeless " it simply applies.

  • @LgndryThndr I agree, I always thought this song was about loving someone.

  • @LgndryThndr either settle for the sandwich of find eternal bliss... :D

  • @LgndryThndr Olollololollolololollolollooololol. Ok I'm done. XD

  • @mbrk6827 You are right. Does he still believe in Meher Baba? Pop stars are constantly under enormous pressure from all around, and usually they seek outlets to relax or for spiritual principles. Pete Townshend is so legendary, I mean his songwriting guitar work, and longevity alone are so great, and I think he sings well. I researched Maher Baba, and, well, it isn't for me.

  • ...This is missing one stereo channel !!!

  • Awesome

  • Do I still got it?

  • she dont love me no more

this tune pops in my head regular now

oh man where do i sign boss?

  • Kieth Moon !!!! One of the Greatest Drummers Ever !!!

  • I love music by the Who so much

  • Thats not drumming, that's Keith Moon beating the song into your soul!

  • 13 people wouldn't know a bargain if it jumped up and bit them.

  • 13 people didn't get a bargain.....

  • The band that found perfection !

  • to all who have been sending me these hatefull responces:

1-I LOVE the who....i always have- and have been listening to them for all of my 40+ years

2- i DID NOT insult the music or ANY of you guys......merely stated that there is no deep spiritual meaning to the song--and that you need to stop taking yourselves so seriously----ITS ROCK-N-ROLL!!!!!!

3- yes, i did say Pete is ugly.............guess what ---HE IS!!!!!-----also hugely tallented

now -------FUCK OFF YOU STUPID PRICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @markosborne1969 It's response dipshit :S

  • @theslipknotfan111 yeah......your right --good catch

  • @markosborne1969 oh cheers man :) i thought you might get all sarcastic or whatever! :P

  • @theslipknotfan111 nah...i try to admit my faults.....been my point all along.....i make a slightly negative of hand comment (about no-one in particular)......and i get tons of hatefull crap dumped on me.......guess its ok to have an opinion---as long as it isnt your own......thank for being cool......enjoy the tunes

  • @markosborne1969 well i suppose everybody deserves having an opinion otherwise everyone would all be the same? and that would be annoying :S

  • @markosborne1969 With your negativity and dissing The Who on one of The Who's songs, you should have expected 5 times the hateful responses. I don't know why you bothered to put that comment up if you didn't expect to get yelled at. A lot.

  • Who Math

    1+1=1

    A+++

  • We need a spiritual REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!

  • Roger twirling the microphone cord.

  • badass AND beautiful--now that IS a bargain!

  • Who's Next = Masterpiece!

  • hey, "markosborne1969" its a great song with the greatest rock drummer ever breakin' out some suberb chops..so dummy up and enjoy ehh.?

  • love the intro

  • @markosborne1969 go and fuck yourself paedo

  • @markosborne1969 I could try to reason with you my friend, but I'm better off arguing with a plank of wood!

  • @markosborne1969 ....... wow this song has 100x the meaning of your comment and judging by your negativity, quite possibly, 1000x more meaning than your life....

  • that is a F***ING EXCELLENT SONG!!!!!!!! Everytime I hear it, it HAS to be at FULL volume. Thanks.

  • Keith Fucking Moon. Holy shit, what a drummer.

  • @NStenO He was... THE BEST DRUMMER EVER!! (literaly)

  • @joelbroncos he stil is dude ! no one will ever be able to live up to his legacy !

  • @NStenO holy fuck u said it all dude!!!!!

  • @NStenO yes thats some impressive drumming from that time...but really hands down no question the best drummer now days and has been the last 20 years is Danny Carey of Tool

  • @mrcharlie6595 I'm going to be nice here.Without Keith Moon Danny whoever his name is would be working at McDonalds....You have to understand....how important he was in modern drumming...I worker with Buddy Rich,Carl Palmer,Bonzo......Didn't w/Ginger......The best over all was Buddy..In Rock it was Keith......Hands down.

  • I need another one of those drunken nights, where everybody there innevitably starts singing along to the Who. It's the closest one can get to experiencing the '70s after having missed out the first time around.

  • i'd gladly loose me to find you... THE FUCKIN OOOOO! rules

  • one and one make one = self realisation

  • bob shut up and smoke your indica, ita about realiztion

  • keith moon at 4:16 onwards is the fucking shit

  • @houseshoesbto more like the whole song.

  • @thefoppa1000 actually more like the entire album its amazing in any aspect bt im just saying with the double bass patern he plays

  • Keith Moon looks he's tied up in a straitjacket in this photo.

  • @ffairlane57 it's Pete's white pants

  • where is the 'Keith is drunk as shit" post?

  • Have you heard this song "Angel's Share" by this band called "Mustach". Check youtube. A terrible, obvious, poor copy of The Who. That sounds like a mixture of "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "The Bargain". Not sure if they are really trying to promote the song as their own or is it some sort of tribute to The Who? They should know that people are going to notice, that song should be banned in my opinion.

  • Roger, Pete, Mooney, and the Ox......they will never be equaled!

  • If you are searching for real spiritual informationNeed to go a little deeper?mind reading, astral projection, telekinesis, it is all real.THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM It is time to change the world.

  • how could such a drummer exist? man...nothin like keith moon.

  • Comment removed

  • This is awesome! Too bad i was born in the late 90's when music started to go downhill. My grandpa and my dad were so lucky that they grow up in a time with such good music. Actually, they were lucky that they could grow up with all the stuff they had back then. Now its all just corporate marketing. Kinda sad knowing that when I'm older, I'll have to listen to whatever garbage the next generation will listen to. So sad...

  • like this if john is ur favourite bassist and pete is ur fave guitarist P.S i play bass and wanna be just like kohn

  • My favorite The Who song!

  • @alexander101207 How did this get 12 dislikes must be some sad fucks with no taste in music lol

  • @Whitevoice14

LOL! I don't know, but my guess is that the ones who disliked it like today's "music". Today's music, in my opinion is pathetic...

  • @alexander101207 I bet them ICP or other lames, I like new shit when it has some quality, few and far between, I love alot of shit but to not at least respect Moon and the Who is a crime!

  • @alexander101207 What they sell these kids today as music Gaga Bieber and that sad ass Slipknott and ICP is ad, no balls just bs!

  • @Whitevoice14

Totally agree. Pure garbage with gaga and the likes...no talent, all synthesized crap...

Music will never be the same as it was from the 60s-early 80s. Even some 90s was good, like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana...but today, it's all garbage.

  • @alexander101207 Music is being reversed evolutionized, = Ni**erized!

  • @Whitevoice14

absolutely my friend. you put it EXACTLY as it truly is.

    Great minds think alike!

  • I have two vid ch's ourwhitevoices & Somewhitedude3

  • One of Moon's greatest moments.

  • gotta love The Who!! so many good songs, Who Are You, My Generation, Bargain, Baba O'Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again, I Can't Explain, I Can See For Miles, Magic Bus, Pinball Wizard. and theres many more. great band.

  • Let's face it. Keith was a master of drumming. To date, I cannot think of anyone even remotely like him. I have learned to separate the artist's lifestyle from his/her musicianship and just enjoy the music they gave to us. I mean, Keith's drumming on everything, is so highly fresh, creative, energetic, so involved, and most of all, a LEAD instrument.. On Youtube, there is a portion of a Who song with ONLY Keith, and Roger's vocals (I think it is Behind Blue Eyes) It sounds great.

  • @SeattleLA John Bonham of Led Zeppelion also had a very unique and powerful sound imo.

  • @stainlesssteelrat100 Hi. Yes, they are my two favorites of all time. I was just thinking that I have not heard anyone who sounds like Keith, but the uniqueness of Bonham, is so, so great. Thank you.
