I believe you're stuck like many people, even of different backgrounds, that think a persons' "authenticity" is in question simply because of things like their choice of spouse. What when you are attracted to them physically? What if one likes them to look very dark-skinned because it contrasts to his light skin? I personally think that's wrong, but I cannot deny I have this tendency to be more attracted to dark-skinned Black girls
Personally though, I give women of every race a chance. In fact, I have only dated Whites girls and one East Asian one. There are not too many interracial relationships here yet. Still, when I see Black girls I'm often amazed by their beauty.

In fact, I tend to more often look behind for a beautiful Black girl than a girl of any other race. I still realize were talking about human beings here. And while it isn't wrong to flirt just for sexual purposes, dating is a while different matter entirely. Serious relationships are less boring than one-night stands or sexual relationships in my opinion, at least generally.
Anyway, my point is: it's not good to make it a certain fetish. It's OK however, to be attracted to one particular race.

I'm sure of it I'll approach a Black girl to my liking (there are enough to be at least one) one day and date one. This is something I have to try at least once. The only thing keeping me back is society making it still be unusual. In France, for instance, interracial couples have become very common. Belgium will follow soon. My husband and I shop at radioshack once in awhile, the sales clerk hadn't seen us in about a year. When she seen me she asked if we were still together, I was so annoyed. We've been married 18mths, we dated 4 years, and we have been friends for almost 10 years. People who marry their own ethnicity date/marry for obvious wrong reasons all the time just look at the illegitimate kids & high divorce rates. But IR couples are being targeted solely based on ethnicity, how is racism & discrimination supposed to end, when society still thinks this way?

@soulsistas401 Partially right/wrong for me, lol. I always prefered white guys as young as 5 yrs old. My parents informed me, but when I became a teen I questioned my attraction. So I tried to date black men, didn't work b/c I was darksinned, a size 0 and no chemistry. So I decided to accept my attraction to white guys, which allowed me to find my husband. We're happily married, proud of our unique attraction and interracial marriage and especially can't wait to produce biracial children.

There seems to be a concerted effort on the part of some black females to encourage other black females to start to date interracially as if interracial dating is going to bring everyone wedded bliss or happiness. And when they migrated to different parts, the climate and environment changed them physically: melanin in skin, hair, etc. Pretty much by that theory, we're all one human race with different features. To me, race is just a way to categorize people. You're from Suriname and from your description, it sounds like Paradise.
