My advice is to tell him because all men do not run from responsibilities. Secondly, even he does not want to be in the child's life, there are men out here who will be glad to care for the child even when daddy doesn't want to. Hell, it's 2012 so there are also women out here who will step into the fatherly role.... yeah I said that, I know it's not the same but it's reality.
Then I am an old-fashioned prude as well. It isn't "cute" what most people are doing. If you are going to protect yourself then by all means, do what you do, but when they stop wrapping it up there brews a problem. There are several diseases going around these days, most of which you cannot receive a shot, take a pill or apply a cream to get rid of. They just need to stop with all that nastiness. One of these days you might get a phone call from the local health department, Maury, the state child support, or worst have all your business spill on Twitter. My advice is just be careful who you get in bed with because that few minutes of pleasure could be a lifetime of regret.
