When I saw that kid, I said: "Don't you fucking dare!" And I was so relieved when you didn't. Even if it was a special effect, I would not have wanted to see it. The apple was beautiful. The child would have been as horific as the thought of the World Trade Centres and all the consciousnesses that were permanently silenced during that event. And all the consciousnesses that were silenced in Iraq, and Afghanistan, after that.
@WebSoldier What are you talking about; Afghanistan is still going on, and so is Irak. Besides, I don't really think you're seeing the connection I'm making. It's not that it's a plane into a building. It's not that it was so many lives extinguished. It's that it's a single consciousness ended. They're equally horrific. You didn't see that?
@WebSoldier Sorry to butt in, but I have to disagree with your argument of how we should just "get over it". If we just fucking act complacent and forget that it happened, the same shit is gonna happen again.
@bl0wmme Who said forget it happened? I agree that action should be taken against terrorist acts after they happen, but 9 years is a bit much. There's other shit going on to worry about. If people are still grieving about the death of a family member I suppose that's more understandable, but most people just bring it up without having actually lost anyone. They don't know the pain that those of us who did went through. I lost my brother and father both in the incident, but I've gotten over it.
@WebSoldier I'm honestly really sorry about your losses, and no, I haven't experienced anything like it. But don't get me wrong, I don't think we should be chasing terrorists or fighting these wars (maybe we didn't have a choice, I don't know). I'm just saying that now that it's over, we need to learn from it. That's all; I'm otherwise really ignorant about the topic.

No thank you I'll keep my bullets and my guns. I've never had to shoot anyone but I'd like to have the option is the situation arises.
