That was completely awesome. If there is anything to do to improve the slingshot is to improve the shape of the gears so the teeth don't collide as much.

Would shifting each band one tooth (On your side, not the side where the projectile comes out) compensate for the rotating of the wheel and cause it to be more accurate? Right now it looks like they all get a bit of sideways motion (Especially the later shots, it's not so much for the first). Just a thought : )

@calum341 Well, affordable slomo cams don't have great resolution. HD slomo cams cost a fortune (100k + dollars). This is just a humble hobby channel, even my little EX-F1 Pro was a serious investment for me (1000 dollars).

You could make a bigger wheel that holds maybe 24 shots or more. Mount the whole slingshot on a tripod for increased accuracy and make the crank handle longer for more leverage. You could probaly mount the whole thing on a really nice stand and make the wheel big enough to shoot 48 shots. That would be an awesome!! Your auto slingshot is cool the way it is but a 48 shot would be better :) Maybe I'm getting carried away. How far away will it shoot something?

AWSOME INVENTION! just a quick question, isn't the slingshot innaccurate? only when your spinning it around, their is a delay between the slingshot being fired (or the ball being released) and the "barrel" rotating. meaning by the time the ball is out of the slingshot, it would've already turned by around 20 degrees :S

@Ultamaz It's OK, really. The turning may shift the shots a bit, but in a reproducable way so you can easily compensate. Full auto guns are always a bit "spray and pray" like.

@JoergSprave What if you shifted the part that makes the balls pop out to the left so by the time they actually left the sling shot they were directly where you are aiming instead of off to the right slightly. That doesn't seem like it would be incredibly hard to adjust.

Joerg, have you ever tried shooting double Theraband red on each side? I'm finding double reds to shoot faster and harder than Theraband black singles. Right now I'm shooting on double tapered Theraband Gold flatbands 1.30 inches thick. Double red Theraband tubes on each side of the pouch and finally 4 strands of Dankung 1745 tubing.on each side. I like my pulls to be fast and hard about equal pull force as single theraband black tubes on each side.
