@r3d3r3d3r3d3 it's minimalism. It's changing and developing, but slightly and subtly. It works by leaving things out working around empty space. The repetitive structure is a way of creating a cognitive emptiness by lulling the mind into a false sense of familiarity, then slight eruptions of variation pop out of the routinized exciting the mind into reevaluating the whole structure. It's about the atmosphere and the counter play of weight and grace, low-end pulsations and high-end ambiance.
@logosfails good job. rare to read a comment of this scope without grammar and usage errors. ambiance should be ambience though, not technically a word, but the root is ambient here.
@r3d3r3d3r3d3 you're right this is shit. I love bass music, I get minimal, I want transitions and breaks (and I appreciate sub bass like anyone else) but this is boring and a floor clearer.
@fergybabes I dont care who opens a set with what.. I dont fuck with lazy producers man you want cognitive ambience go to a shitty art installation i like some of ramandanman songs but this one is lazy. Matty G, Objekt, Mala, Kyrptic Minds all make diverse, dynamic, interesting bass music without looping a boring 4/4 loop over and over.... also I dont listen to skrillex brostep because that is as much of a floor clearer as this shit is.
@gts1067 you keep saying 4 bar loop over and over but im pretty sure no 4 bars in this is the same as another? it takes a lot more effort to make a minimal tune, well placed emptiness is hard to get right, and he more than pulled it off here.
any dj playing lil' wayne dubbly wub splat not phat tunes are....well not in anyway a dub head....your at the wrong partys, who plays that un sequenced jargen beats anyway!
lil wayne esque is probly a stab at the genre, cause there was one remix of his song... im a fan of this calmer dubstep aswell as the dirtier stuff, real rough sounding.. both have there own quality, ive never heard any dubstep that is remeniscent of lil wayne though...
To stay interesting throughout, with so little going on.

This tune is amazing, you can dance and rave to it, but it still has a deep meditational feel to it. Love it!

@adiamondonwings Charlie B's the fuckin man dude. Although the Lil Wayne remix is shite. The rest of his music's the goods.

@gts1067 where, at a skrillex set? fucking villalobos used to open sets with this. keep your narrow-minded opinions to yourself.

@gts1067 If you think electronic music is strictly meant for the dance floor, then I'm sad to say that you're doing it wrong.

this track doesn't need evil bass...it has soft synths and mellow ambience... evil bass would ruin it..
then it wouldn't be minimal!

Nah man...Everyone can do eeeevil basss...not many can make a subtle killer like this...

This comment has received too many negative votes show
ye boiii, rather funkylishus... tho could do with a tad more of the eeevil basss. that ud make this a killer track.
