Hee Roeleke, zojuist zag ik ook zo´n kleine rakker lopen, een paar weken eerder heb ik hem ook gezien en toen zat ´ie te eten. Omdat ik een aantal egelhuizen heb staan en veel grote blader en takken hopen denk ik dat ´ie wel een goed onderkomen zal vinden. In de komende weken zet ik nog wat extra krachtvoer voor ze, en met name die kleine, neer in de hoop dat ´ie de winter zal overleven. Misschien is het wel een jong van vorig jaar....

@natuurineigenland Als ik je was, zou ik em toch wegen, want als ie geen 600 gram is, gaat ie echt dood in de winter. Ik heb ook egelhuizen staan, maar dat neemt niet weg, dat het gewicht zo belangrijk is. Ze verliezen zoveel gewicht. En als ze niet genoeg vetopslag hebben, vriezen ze ook nog eens makkelijk dood, denk ik....

Dit kleine dondersteentje komt nu steeds in het schuurtje eten. Ik ga een video bij mijn kanaal catseyes4you maken van dit egeltje en een kat samen in de schuur eten!:-)

@natuurineigenland Het gaat steeds meer vriezen. En gisteravond had ik de kans om het kleine ding te pakken. Het weegt nu 475 gram, tenminste 125 gram te weinig om te overleven. Ik heb een heel kleine videootje gemaakt infrarood gisteravond, omdat ik de doos uit het schuurtje moest pakken waar de camera stond. Die zal ik vandaag even bewerken en hier plaatsen. Hoe gaat het met jouw kleine egeltje?

@EgelopvangDikkePrik Het is duidelijk dat het meer vriest ja... Ik moet inmiddels spreken over 2 kleine egeltjes. Hoewel klein... De afgelopen 2 weken zijn ze een stuk groter geworden. Ze eten zich ook helemaal suf hier. Ze zijn al wel groter dan de egel die jij in je hand hebt. Aangezien ze lang niet in mijn hand lijken te passen en ik ga er vanuit dat mijn handen wat groter zijn dan de jouwe. Ik heb er wel vertrouwen in dat ze het gaan redden. De grote egels zie ik niet meer, winterslaap...

@natuurineigenland Via Barend en Marleen heb ik nu gehoord, dat deze van 475 gram het wel redt voor de winter. Wel heb ik een paar teken weg kunnen halen. Gisteravond in het schuurtje gezet, binnen een paar minuten zat ie daar te eten, is daar nog een paar uur in het hokje gebleven en later ervandoor gegaan. Ik hou ze wel in de gaten. Gisteravond heb ik dus nu de kleinste te pakken gekregen van 335 gram. Die is nog wel erg klein, maar het hangt af hoe snel de echte winter komt.

@natuurineigenland Deze kleine hou ik nu binnen, ik denk niet dat ie 600 gram is voor de winter er is.

De anderen zal ik zeker bij blijven voeren. En in de gaten houden. Als ik twijfel, ga ik ze gewoon weer wegen.

Doe altijd een paar lekkere handschoenen aan. Ik heb notabene 3 gevangen de laatste 2 dagen, hahaha... ik overtrof mezelf. En de kleine hoorde ik lopen in het gras, ik scheen met de ledlamp (had gelukkig de handschoenen nog aan), bleef ie stilzitten en kon ik em zo voorzichtig pakken!

Wat een leuke video Roeleke, het blijven schattige diertjes. Een paar weken terug zag ik de Egelopvang Dikke Prik op televisie, ik meen dat het op tv Noord Holland was. Ze vertelden dat ze bijna vol zaten en dat mensen moesten uitkijken als ze in hun tuin de bladeren op gingen harken, vooral wanneer deze onder de struiken lagen want daar kunnen egels vertoeven.

Wat klinkt de Wersie piano goed trouwens, dat kan ook bijna niet anders wanneer jij er op speelt! hihi

@natuurineigenland Daarom was ik ook zo "blij" dat er een grotere aan het eten was. Ik ben het helemaal met je eens, dat het heel moeilijk is om goed te zien, zeker in het donker. Ik kan vanuit het raam kijken naar de diertjes, maar alleen als ik er dichtbij sta, lukt het me om een oordeel te geven over de grootte.

@chrismayka Dag lieverds, die beestjes zijn een ware vreugde, dat is geen moeite om wat voor hen te doen, hoor! Ik geniet elke dag weer van wat de video opnames brengen. Ik was ook heel verbaasd, dat dit kleine beestje opdook in de videos van gisternacht. Omdat ik ziek ben, kon ik niet een volledige info video maken, dus heb ik besloten om af en toe fragmenten te doen.
