@CallMetheMusicMan It's got some pentatonic use in there, it mainly shifts between the blues scale, natural minor scale and also, as you say, the pentatonic for the quick two note per string runs.
Mainly you want to work on your alternate picking approach, knowledge of the scales you intend to use, and also the stamina of your left and right hands. I use a lot of Paul Gilbert licks so these are a great place to start to find some interesting ways around scales without just going up and down! Also, make sure you start slow and build up gradually, that way the speed will just feel easiernd your playing will sound better as a result!
I love your attack on the strings...a couple of riffs you did reminded me of some old Emerson,Lake & Palmer....Live concert in Ohio back in the 70's....Rock on man....
Omfg god skill. Anyone who shreds on Acoustic is bad ass. People under estimate how much harder it is to play on acoustic compared to electric, you're working against the strength of the strings.
Awsome speed and lots of great RAW talent BUT you sacrificed too much in tone and groove for speed. Check out some videos of Lightnin Hopkins to get the feelin - you wont be disapointed. Thanks for the playin.
I liked the last hit, its all about timing nowadays! You should get a whole video library up of different styles J-Dilla. All in all, very fast and very rhythmy.
Is that all pentatonic shiz?
