  • sorry, no idea - maybe it was nostalgic, maybe this really was an extra working above the planned timetable.

  • Wow,

The people who gave thumbs down have no sense of humour!

  • Interesting to see flashing white light, to notice tram driver that level crossing is activated, much like in here in Finland, as we are adopted to use flashing white light on every level crossing with warning devices.

  • It is a good idea, as it helps improve safety.

I've seen it in Germany on a tramway at a pedestrian crossing - the flashing light lets the tram driver know that the pedestrians lights are working, otherwise he must stop at the crossing.

  • I forgot to mention, that we use flashing white light on the warning devices to notice drivers if level crossing is not warning, but it does not necessarily mean, if train is approaching.

  • The tram looks really old..

  • It was built to look something like a London tram from the 1930's.

  • I love the Seaton Tramway. Haven't been on it for years but it doesn't seem to have changed much. The results of the Beeching axe did have one or two good points (skuse pun) mind you i would still have liked to get a train from Seaton Junction! ho hum:-|
