Do you know that first lady, Mrs Quezon was sleeping with the vice president at that time. Just as a suggestion for the living grandkids you may want to take a DNA test and compare it to the Rojas clan. You might be so high in worshiping the wrong Grand Daddy...
He so loyal to the country (Ya sure) unfortunately, the wife was not loyal to him
Did you know that first lady, Mrs.Quezon was sleeping with his husband Vice President if you dont believe me ask her daughters to take a DNA test and compare it to any Rojas clan. a few guarded secret of the Quezon clan.
I would still choose being an American colony. We could have been an American state or protectorate enjoying the benefits of American citizenship. Look at us now...We are under the yoke of poverty and corruption. Instead of working in our own country our fellowmen are still working like slaves abroad. Suffering from discrimination and poor job condition. Is this better than the freedom that we enjoy right now?
Most of our politicians are blood suckers. We could have been great. Tsk tsk tsk...
@jimk770i Thank youuuuuuuuuu very much for your good coment specially for this coming fucking nonsense election full or recycle and garbage politician
i think marcos was a good president he was a dictator and every one have say he makes a lot of corruption but macapagl-arroyo or aquino was not better
@stoneroses13 Right. So basically, we're not welcomed to The Philippines? I'd love to visit someday. A friend and I. Since English is the second official language.
This man is nothing but a politician.... What's with him lobbying for Philippine independence in the US Congress? By doing such, he did no less than accept our fate as a colony with our masters being the imperialist Americans. Independence is not begged for, nor is it asked for! Independence is fought for and gained! Even Jose Rizal realized that which is why he had a change of heart from being a propagandista to a revolucionario. We should never have owed our freedom from the Americans!!
I'm gonna make myself unpopular now. I don' like Quezon. He was a puppet of McKinley. The Philippines were still a colony during his time, remember? Think about it, how much power did he really have?
The few latinized orthographies of some philippine languages that were created during his time and are still used nowadays suck. Just look at Tagalog and words like "baba" and "baba".
well...i'm a collector of old stuff and was lucky enough to come across a unique photo copy of him on a balcony delivering his inaugural speech in the old malacañang palace...
¡Un saludo amigos! Desde el @ Canal de Filipinas en idioma español.

I would rather have a country run like hell by Filipinos than a country run like heaven by the Americans
maybe he prefered a country run like hell by spaniards!
it's obvious that he really don't like americans but when the japs conquered our country he escaped to USA.
maganda sana ang buhay ng mga Filipino ngayon kundi dahil sa taong ito. since na nawala tayo sa teritoryo ng amerikano nagsimula na tayong maghirap.

Quezon also founded Quezon City and turned it into the Capital. What does that tell you about his ego?
Tagalog was chosen as a national language, and so many philippine TV programs are in Tagalog. We don't even hear any other language in the media.
