I was part of the cast in a university production of Hair. I have many issues with the film as the storyline is completely different from the original script for the stage. The music is the same and the film's soundtrack is outstanding. With that said, this is the only scene of the film that I like. This saves the film from total flop. "Where Do I Go" is the climax of the plot. Very dramatic and emotional as Claude confronts the dilemma he faces. This scene is done very well in the film.

What are the soldiers for, then? One difference with Vietnam War ("police action" LOL) was the draft. Soldiers today enlist knowing they could go off to a war regardless of whether or not they agree with it. Plus, it's not that difficult to get out of the military early. It's not like you have to walk around in a dress and high heels like Klinger. I've known people who were given honorable discharge because they said they were really unhappy and depressed.
