I would say the same about any announcer who can't understand what is going on in the game in front of him. Santo to me proved he was out of touch when he complained about the pink bats and wrist bands on Mother's Day a few years back. Diabetes awareness=good, breast cancer awareness=bad in Santo's world.

I was there for this game. When I saw that Mark was taking pitches and was ahead in the count, I thought he would talk. He ended up taking the count full, fouling off one pitch, and then hitting the 2nd 3-2 pitch from Looper. It was probably 50-50 Sox-Brewers fans and we were all chanting "Buehrle, Buehrle" after he hit that one. I think I was more in shock over that homer than Pods' walkoff in Game 2.
