Years ago there was a CS40m in one of our music stores. Nobody would buy it since the rage was workstations and so on. One day i went into the store and it was gone. Sorry i didn't buy it then. It costed about $400 at the time.

Because of the 2 note poly they are limited but theyr'e very nice. You can easily get a sililar string sound to the CS Poly's but with just 2 note poly of course.

it depends on the 80's thmes they used a yamaha cs80 a much more upgraded version

@tubewayarmy2005 Delia Derbyshire's theme used tape sampling. See Alchemists of sound. The next Delaware theme used an EMS modular system. Peter Howell's 1980 theme was done with a CS80 and Odyessey. See Synthesizing Starfields. Dominic Glynn did one for "Trial of a Time Lord", then Keff McCulloch did another for Sylvester! See BBC Corners. Other versions on Big Finish audios. Lots on YT, more fan versions on Whomix site.
