It's faster around Nordschleife than any lambo ever tested (Including the lp 570 Superleggera and the lp 670 Superveloce) It beats both of them around the top gear test track aswell. @5o5a1988 yes 2 seconds difference, the ACR has over 600bhp and the NEWEST GTR has about 530bhp!! thats 70 bhp difference! and even if i get the chance of getting an ACR, i wouldn't; it doesn't have a radio, speakers, amplifier, trunk carpet, hood pad or tire-inflator. so its just 100,000 on an engine and a steering wheel, on the other hand the GTR offers all that and 4wd, 3 sec to 60 and costs about 85 grand. end of story...

1- the GTR has one of the best gearing , it storms through 1-4th gear as no ordinary person will be able to change that fast, as for the viper's good old manual gear box

3- you are comparing a enhanced chassis to one that has been in market since 2003

Fastest GTR went 11.7@119mph, vs the fastest ZR1 at 10.7@133, and the ZR1's power just takes off from there. For corners, looking at track times, Laguna Seca ZR1 is ahead by 5 seconds, VIR ZR1 is ahead by 4, ect.

i guess what people fail to realize is that every gtr is hand crafted so no two ones have the same numbers. that being said even though it may have the lowest top speed in this group with its' twin turbos it has the fastest start off the line. If this was a drag race the gtr would have come in dead last however since it was on a track with turns and the gtr can out handle any vett and any viper any day it really was no contest at all
$198,000 911gt2 ......you can buy 2 of any of these other cars and money left over. For over twice the price it should destroy these other cars but is doesn't. A new ZR1 is around half the price of the gt2, insane.

If it were to be in production next year and nothing at all had changed on it, it would not be street legal. @5o5a1988 yes 2 seconds difference, the ACR has over 600bhp and the NEWEST GTR has about 530bhp!! thats 70 bhp difference! and even if i get the chance of getting an ACR, i wouldn't; it doesn't have a radio, speakers, amplifier, trunk carpet, hood pad or tire-inflator. so its just 100,000 on an engine and a steering wheel, on the other hand the GTR offers all that and 4wd, 3 sec to 60 and costs about 85 grand. end of story...

thats true, but as you may know, HP is not every thing i realize that the GTR is also heavier than the viper but 3 points:
1- the GTR has one of the best gearing , it storms through 1-4th gear as no ordinary person will be able to change that fast, as for the viper's good old manual gear box
2-no radio and all that crap thats the hardcore package u can get radio and AC in a regular acr with the same performance

@5o5a1988 i honestly wouldn't waste my money on an american wanna be super car, with 100,000, i can get a viper or i can get a GTR and spend the 15,000 on modifying it lol, it can get to over 800bhp if you want performance... it also offers comfort which from a scale from 1/10 with ten the most comfortable, the acr scores about 3. as for performance, the ACR can do 0-60 in about 3.7 sec. on the other hand the GTR does it in 3.2. so again, the GTR wins. but i would rather but a c63 amg or rs5 or6

@thejoshh69 the GTr driver just sucks. Its very easy to do 0-60 in 3.5-3.8 seconds in a GTR. The GTR competes with the Zr1.

@Blueball0120 While I can't stand Vettes, I would say the ZR1 would demolish the GTR. True, the GTR can do better in 0-60 thanks to AWD, but then look at 1/4 times. Fastest GTR went 11.7@119mph, vs the fastest ZR1 at 10.7@133, and the ZR1's power just takes off from there. For corners, looking at track times, Laguna Seca ZR1 is ahead by 5 seconds, VIR ZR1 is ahead by 4, ect.

@TheHm3 I don't know. It very easy to launch one I think. Put it in sport with the buttons. Switch it to the paddle shifters. I don't know whats i called. Left foot on brake. Rev it up to 4500 RPM then let go of the brake. I think this is how you do it.

i guess what people fail to realize is that every gtr is hand crafted so no two ones have the same numbers. that being said even though it may have the lowest top speed in this group with its' twin turbos it has the fastest start off the line. If this was a drag race the gtr would have come in dead last however since it was on a track with turns and the gtr can out handle any vett and any viper any day it really was no contest at all

If it were to be in production next year and nothing at all had changed on it, it would not be street legal. The Government is making requirements that the current Viper would not pass next year, therefor a redesign is in order. I don't see your point in arguing on. My origianl and only point was Dodge is not done with the Viper yet.

@beastmodeclick1082 Viper line was for sale to help financial issues, but the Viper was not the cause of financial issues. The current model would not pass requirements for 2011, just like the 2006 Viper would not pass requirements for 2007 resulting in a skipped year.

@beastmodeclick1082 thats the problem with vette's, their so common that its become no big deal to own one.. its basicly the same thing that happened to the mustang, too many people bought so they lost their appeal.. just like vette's.. but if you see a viper it's normally a lucky sighting.. also because vipers bailed out for a while (just like the camaro) they now hold value better... even more then they did before compared to vettes.. Mopar knows what they're doing and GM has done it before.
