I can see how they were setting up a fresh start for the third season. John Connor would have truelly grown up into an adult as a result of the events of this episode. Here's something to consider. Presumably, John's in an alternate future. He can bring Derek, Kyle, Allison, and anyone else back to his time without screwing the future. Why? They're from an alternate future, not the "proper" future where John leads the resistance.

Finale was beyond just a little good, it was Phenomenal.

Saw some of the twists coming - but - the ones I saw coming were all the more satisfying for having come to pass ... and the ones I didn't see made my jaw hit the floor!

There were way more surprises than I ever expected!

Also, there was a mistake on the season one...I don't remember which episode tho...There was a cyborg coming back to future to terminate John Connor, but he came to a night club and caused a fire in 30's (or earlier?). Then he's hidden himself in a wall for 80 years. Well, If so, his human tissue should already rots, and what we see must be a metal. No flesh can be fresh for 80 years in a dirty wooden wall.

I have been wondering...How did they swap the chip? If Cameron takes the chip out and John pulls out the cable, then both of them can't move. The only they swap the chap is that there was another one who was doing the job for them.

Great finale! A lot of questions need to be answered though. Like why didn't Sarah go with John, especially since she's so protective of him? Why did Cameron give John Henry her chip? What is Weaver's true role in all of this? I hope we get our questions answered with a third season.
