it's NBC they run original shows into the ground very fast, especially ones that aren't set in the present and deal with history, that would mean they would actually have to try for accuracy

whoever gave the lowdown on this sow was so wrong. the pryors are having like a dinner party or something and jack is involved in some shady business with his city council, remember he was elected and was thinking of taking a bribe? sam and meg are protesting the war. meg thought same shouldnt do it because of his scholarship but he insisted on going with her.

If I remember correctly Beth had gotten pregnant and the Pryor's told everyone she and JJ were already married. I think this is a shower for her, and instead of keeping up the lie, Beth and Mr. Pryor announce to everyone that she isn't married. I remember the priest being mad at Mr. Pryor for doing this but I can't remember why. I don't remember what happened to Nathan.

nbc and the producers are thinking about releasing them on dvd, but they need more people to buy season 1 to convince them (its only $20 now and you cna buy it from nbc online). also it would be very helpful if you wrote nbc a e-mail saying that you will buy the dvds if they are released

This was such a great show! I loved everything about it! It had such great story lines and music and it really made me fascinated with the 60's culture. I miss this show and it would be so cool if they brought it back. I really wish more people would have watched it.

this was the best show...it was a show my whole family watched together and this show made me really interested in history esp. the 60s and my parents were actually there...my dad grew up in philadelphia in the 60s...this show was wonderfully written, beautifully edited, the music was amazing and the actors were so good...there isnt any show on tv today thats as good as this...they shouldnt have canceled it after only 3 seasons!

They were arrested b/c they were protesting the war I believe. It's been so long since it was on. I just remember the family getting mad at Meg for protesting the war since JJ was fighting in it. But like they said back then "We're protesting the war, not the soldiers"

A lot of popular shows have never been put out on DVD ( or they only release certain seasons) because some episodes contain songs that they would have to pay licensing fees for, and they think it wouldn't be profitable. If this is true, American Dreams would be hard to put on DVD, since there were tons of famous songs in every episode, that fees would have to be paid for.
