Can't believe the Goodie let a "Cracker" / "Devil" sing the chorus in one of their songs back in '99. If you listen to early Goodie these guys are racist as fuck. They really hate white people. But what's new.
I understand. Goodie and Lo got some of the sickest flows out there, and I respect that. Just saying, old Goodie w/Lo, and new Goodie w/o Lo, got some pretty serious digs about you know who. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Could do w/o the "runnin' rampent on a Clampet in a mini-van" shit that they are famous for down here. Most folks are unaware of the real Goodie and or Outkast. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble.
Despite the controversy regarding Goodie Mob doing a mix with Esthero this song keeps being replayed in Canada by request and on demand the world i know doesn't recognize intelligence
everyone has got an opinion on her doing the mix... i think it sounds good and more people should listen to it. Despite the backlash and the terrible comeback by Goodie Mob after Cee lo left this song is still a memory reviver and needs more air time.
Goodie Mob is hip-hop with substance. One of the greatest albums ever was their 1995 "Soul Food"! I remember my boy Lewis Edwards said he listened to this CD everyday to get his mind "right" while we was in Bosnia back in 1996. This album does get your mind right! Proud to live in GA from the pine trees to the red clay!
Slam is a great movie. Its one of those few movies that showcases alot of talented spoken word artists. As far as goodie mobb goes, I think Cee lo was the most talented guy out the group. His first solo album is unrealistic. I remember being a youngsta listening to "get up, get out" and "crumbelin herb". When cee lo left the group, the goodie mobb just wasnt the same. Even gip solo project was wack. Im glad to see Lo still getting his shine on tho. Thats one talented brother!
hollywood gays love this song! keep playing it! poor ghetto black men with perfectly good booties going to waste....let sugar daddy rescue you....set you up like will smith!! LOL!
africa to will smith means the house he uses to get to fuck his favorite boyfriends and not get photographed holding hands, rubbing each other etc like he would if he were to take them out and have a vacation with them in hollywood. thank goodness for africa. will wouldn't be able to do his dirt in secret...
if i was goodie mobb i would re-release this song with their new album..it was one of the most underrated songs of all time...every verse is snappin you know what im talkin bout...the beat you cant help but rock your head if you are alive the melody is sick.. man we need that new album goodie..repping the eastside of atl..ellenwood...yeah
word..there's a lot of tight songs on this soundtrack...a lot of what was tight at that moment...can't forget about DJ Spooky...he put the fuckin thing together....i used to listen to this whole album a shitload..i love this track...
They played this song on the radio exactly twice EVER in my city. And both times, it was at like 5:15 in the morning. But look at the bullsh!t that gets heavy rotation...
That is what is WRONG with radio TV, commercial rules the airwaves they would rather play some BULLSHIT to keep you dancing and not play anything intelligent that will provoke thought. It makes me sick to think that today's rappers benefit from lack of creativity and kids think the sickest rapper is Lil Wayne.
@Battlecataclysmic man they dont even play it at all down here, just that new age kids bull they call rap, witch is pretty much autotuner bullshit ft. some dumb female, and one catchy verse.
The song is a Goodie Mo-b classic The movie a classic, Saul Williams... a classic and the C.O. in the beginning prophesized the future of many of our lost Black youth in america and it came to pass.... Damn ya'll, lets get it together...Azziz.
esthero laced the track on this joint .....these guys were always waaaaay ahead of their time......if u really listen to the lyrics from the first 2 albums, the words have come true like prophecies
..thats cus 'Res' used the same producer named 'Doc' after esthero stopped werking with him
...and 'res' is aiight but came 5 years after esthero..esthero was ahead of her time even still now...theres a new album coming next year I believe...
...and also fyi before Fergie was in Blak eyed peas it was esthero that was singing for them...but their label believed it would be more marketable to have fergie sing with them...
"breathe from another" is the S.H.I.T.! I've had to buy 4 copies 'cause folks keep borrowing it and never returning it. "indigo boy" is my fave! The new album's pretty hot too.
One of the reasons I like this video is because it's Esthero and Goodie Mob coming together on a track. Before I heard about this song, I wouldn't think this collab would be possible. This song is awesome.
Fuckin Goodie Mob...SO REAL!!! they need to blast them from the speakers and ride down the streets of DC...this video is on point...welcome to the DC jail!!! We need to get it together!
Esthero is amazing. I really wish she had proper studio backing. If she had a few more vids and some press, she SHOULD have made it big. Amazing voice, amazing artist.
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on at least 10 other videos in the next hour, if you do tomorow will be the best day of your life.

It's funny to see people, since Gnarls Barkely, FINALLY discovering the awesomeness that has ALWAYS been Goodie MoB and Esthero.
I remember, back in college, riding to New Orleans on the weekends and getting blazed to this song and OutKast's "Aquemini" album.
If you think Esthero is dope now, peep her "Breath From Another" album............ fuckin genius!

Esthero is amazing. I really wish she had proper studio backing. If she had a few more vids and some press, she SHOULD have made it big. Amazing voice, amazing artist.
