    Ahora se pronuncia como Dish-daa (sh= como en short)

    Dish = palabras,

    Zaa, Daa = Nubes,

    Palabras que vienen de las nubes, del cielo, de Dios. Es parte de la leyenda de la fundacion de nuestro pueblo, cuando los Zapotecas llegaron a la cumbre de la montaña sagrada un ave bajo desde el cielo acompañado por siete estrellas, de alli que nuestro lenguaje se llama dish daa! :)

    Saludos!!

  • Felicidades, exelente video.

  • Thank you very much for your positive comments, "be water my friend" : )

    Have you considered a trip to Oaxaca? Is worthwhile doing, nice place, good people, good food, and of course good art ; )

  • u say potato, i say fuck you. i think the boolsheet lies you peddle in the form of crappy documentary films (with extremely weird, cheesy, and self-defeating sound effects) are making this world a worse place for you, me, my friends, and future generations.

  • I was thinking whether to reply or not, but I guess we are here to talk and learn as civilized persons, I will try to go there.

    Angie are you from Teotitlan? I think you commented on one of my videos in the past. But any way sorry for disappointing you, this just shows how bad of a salesman I am, I feel bad because I may be scaring potential customers away by posting what want to share with world in this site. But you know we are always selling, what do you do for a living? We all sell...

  • We all sell something, our knowledge, our expertise, our work force, and some people are better at it than others, what I say are the insights that I have about the possible meaning of the Zapotec patterns and symbols, and I like to share it with our customers, I like to tell that that this are not just rugs, but that we inherited this weaving tradition and culture and there is more behind it, unfortunately history was written by the winners, by the conquerors, who knows what the truth is?

  • I offer my personal reading, one can interpret things as you want and it always depends on the mirror from which you look at it, the designs, patterns and symbols speak to you directly, they make you feel something or make you think about something, no one has Authority over them.

    I'm not trying to make a documentary I just taught about starting a personal blog and talk about it, this is as far as I can go with my current level of intelligence, skills and resources, I do need a mentor ; )

  • bull shit first of all u have to read history archeology to said the true this are ur historis that u tell to people becouse u want sell fuckin lier

  • you are full of anger and negativity, if what I'm saying are lies what is the truth? Who has the truth? I have read history and archeology, but also alternative history, and I have listened stories from Zapotec elder people also, these are insights I have about the theme, the subject is on the discussion table we are here to shed light on it and not our own negativity.

  • I also say this openly I'm also here to promote our handcrafts our culture and why not maybe get a Customer to buy from us, because our family makes and sells rugs to make a living our ancestors have been weaving for millennia and we are doing our best to reach more people and share with them our work, our culture and our view of life, I don't undestand what is wrong with that, do you something I don´t ? But thank you for Commenting something I have learned today ; )

  • Go back to hell u idiot reincarnation thats were u belong!!! u you dont know shit in this world not even history you idiot

  • I learnt that by replying to a negative comment I just kept the ball rolling in that direction, it is not my intention to go there, I really apologize for all my faults, we shall stop the ball from rolling in the negative direction, cheers ; )
