Cool Joliet - Sierra Club's 50th Cool City in Illinois

I hope the political officials and community activists can work together to bring some positive change to Joliet. The downtown has some really beautiful buildings that could provide housing and storefronts, especially if the high speed rail program materializes.

Unfortunately, it would require a lot of funding and programming to help solve some of the neighborhood's unemployment issues. Green jobs would be a great start, hopefully the public and private sector can work to get that going.
