yea apple took it down!! i heard it was up for max 10mins. its only because of AT&ts contract with apple, because their bandwidth would be destroyed and apparently they arent doing so well with their own 3g

QUICK QUESTION: I can do the tethering just fine and it works great at my house, but my friend doesnt have wi-fi. He wants to hook his ps3 online for a little while so we can play some Call of Duty4, and I know i could hook it up through tethering his laptop then taking the CAT5 cable from the pc to the ps3. THIS WILL WORK, however, will my data usage be noticed or have you guys also run up a huge data use with no problem?

Okay got it working :) all I had to do was open a webpage on the iphone 3g now displayed in upper right hand corner of iphone. Opened netshare and was now able to get connection on laptop. THANX SO MUCH :)

This will only work on a device capable of receiving Edge or 3G. So yes, only the iphone at this time.

IE proxy and safari proxy dont support SOCKS5 Proxy. Thats why you need foxyproxy with FF or socksify..

Thanks alot. Mine worked. However when I used NetShare it changed my ip from 192.168.10.1 to some other number. I set the ip in the iPhone but it still changed it. I just updated proxifier to use the other ip and it worked perfectly.

Is your iphone auto-locking? The phone needs to stay on and netshare needs to be running for the connection to continue.

"Proxy Checker - Could not connect to 192.168.101:1080. "

I play the vid 6 times but still cannot resolve the problem. I setup IP correctly. Domain Correctly. But I cannot ping my iphone IP. Please help. Thanks.

Vista walk through please, anyone? I googled around and tried a few suggestions. It's not connecting so far. I can ping the iphone IP from the laptop but proxifier test fails and cant browse via firefox.  I even tried a direct socks proxy setup via firefox with no luck.

Use the FoxyProxy plugin for Firefox and you don't need Proxifier, but it will only work within Firefox. If you need to run other programs, Proxifier or a similar SOCKS5 proxy program is obviously necessary, but I would guess most people just want to be able to Browser.

thanks for the video ... unfortunately mine gets suck on trying to get to the web page , and on theproxifier test , it passes the test for connection to the proxy , but fails to get to the host (google) and falls over, its like netshare isnt giving out the proper DNS info....:(

Thanks a ton for the help. I think i am going to wait until nullriver releases a program like proxifier for XP tho. Seems like thay would have one in the works. I think you are the first guy that has figured this thing out. Congrats.
