  • This is actually a pretty amazing song. Wonder if they played this at the Blues/Jazz Festival at the Isle of Lucy when Peter James Bond spontaneously combusted.

  • The apotheosis of music

  • Pinkie pie approves.

  • @iluvargento this is the funniest novelty song in the history of mankind. Why would you treat it seriously?

  • @iluvargento are you serious?

  • The Thamesmen later changed their names to Spinal Tap. They had a couple of outside hits, they're currently residing in the "Where are they now?" file.

  • In listening to this number, one can see where these lads were quite an influence on a young Lemmy Kilmister..

  • At least the cups and cakes weren't in danger of being smashed by a dwarf

  • this song is positively gay. The Thamesmen knew how to write a proper song.

  • Actually, this is by The Thamesmen-- who later became Spinal Tap and are currently residing in the 'where are they now' file.

  • You've gotta take tea, won't you take it with me?

What a gay time it will be...AHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • Lol this was the B-Side to the Thamesmen hit Gimme Some Money

  • this is one of the funniest songs in existance.

  • This song just hit Rock Band and let me tell you, this is the funniest song I have ever heard in my entire life (16 yrs). It's obvious that ST made this as a joke, there's no way that they meant for this to be serious.

  • you mean spinal tap as in the fictitious band in the mockumentary movie "This is Spinal Tap"?

  • yes they arent real in the sense you think they do tour but as the fic band from the movie spinal tap go rent it

  • thank you captain obvious

  • are you retarted?

  • I believe you would be the retarded one because you can't spell.

  • 0:23

  • what a gay time it will be!

  • This one gets funnier every single time I hear it. This is subtle comedy at its finest.

  • I'm pretty sure that David is singing the whole time. You can hear it in the way he sings "mother makes" and "nothing breaks", though his choice of using a softer delivery totally sounds like Nigel. It's always sad to get to the end of this song, I only wish it was longer.

  • i think youre right it is david because i thought it was nigel but when i went to the gig at wembley last night david sang it but not that it matters because its still a great song and tap rock

  • You're an oldie!

  • im 25 not that much of an oldie

  • Just messin' around. I think someone was shouting that when it came on the radio. Props for making it to the One Night Only World Tour

  • lol yea probably like, was an awsome gig tho lol

  • Within the context of the movie, this song was done by the pre Spinal Tap band the Thamesmen. I believe only Nigel and David were Thamesmen.

You are correct. When they hear the song on the radio in their hotel room, Derek Smalls says, "you're an oldie. you're an oldie."

  • I'm in exactly the same situation as you. I always thought it was Nigel, but seeing them at Wembley showed that it was David singing... They were awesome anyway.

  • cups and cakes for a niga

  • Nigel's finest hour!

  • The best part is it sounds like something Colin Moulding might have written as a little kid!

  • Hahaha

  • This movie is a classic and I really don't belive actual real musicians could do better!

  • funny shit, cant really be them....

  • It was made when they were the Thamesmen...

  • yup! it is....lol! i loved that movie!
