This is actually a pretty amazing song. Wonder if they played this at the Blues/Jazz Festival at the Isle of Lucy when Peter James Bond spontaneously combusted.
The Thamesmen later changed their names to Spinal Tap. They had a couple of outside hits, they're currently residing in the "Where are they now?" file.
@caramelldansengal lol thats where i found it xD my dad was singing it i just rofl good thing the drum part didn't come till later i would i have failed lol
This song just hit Rock Band and let me tell you, this is the funniest song I have ever heard in my entire life (16 yrs). It's obvious that ST made this as a joke, there's no way that they meant for this to be serious.
I'm pretty sure that David is singing the whole time. You can hear it in the way he sings "mother makes" and "nothing breaks", though his choice of using a softer delivery totally sounds like Nigel. It's always sad to get to the end of this song, I only wish it was longer.
i think youre right it is david because i thought it was nigel but when i went to the gig at wembley last night david sang it but not that it matters because its still a great song and tap rock
I'm in exactly the same situation as you. I always thought it was Nigel, but seeing them at Wembley showed that it was David singing... They were awesome anyway.

RetroGuy5000 2 years ago
Within the context of the movie, this song was done by the pre Spinal Tap band the Thamesmen. I believe only Nigel and David were Thamesmen.
You are correct. When they hear the song on the radio in their hotel room, Derek Smalls says, "you're an oldie. you're an oldie."
