Go learn the history of America - it is built on racism. There may be a high crime rate for African Americans but that has absolutely nothing to do with their biology, it comes about due to discrimination and segregation of today and of the past. You really need to actually educate yourself on U.S history and once you have you may start to realise how evident racism is in America still. This type of SEGREGATION existed from the days of slavery -- until Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement....and then things began to change. THEY CONSIDERED THE CONSTUTION FOR WHITES ONLY. There was no white Pres. or leader who was any better on this issue than any other white leader....NOT Woodrow Wilson or Calvin Coolidge or any of them. They just practiced their racism in different ways. Apartheid was the same deal -- just in So. Africa.

How was Rosa Parks courageous? She was a secretary instructed by the Firm she @ worked (NCAAP) to 'remain seated on a bus', b'c the lawyers were going to bail her out later on (it was a ploy to sue). There were LOTS of other people whom did what Rosa but didn't get bailed out of jail , nor did they get an recognition. Why aren't they celebrated through the annuals of history? So she breaks an unjust law, but admittedly won't say "NO" to turn down a secretary position- That don't add up!

I meant (NAACP) Natl Advancement of Colored People- she was the only female there (at the Birmingham Branch) and they needed a secretary. So they approached her about being a secretary, in her memoirs she admits she was "too timid the turn the position down". (And this was at a time when women's Lib was in full swing- so confront the racist, but not the sexists? What's up with that? )

Go learn the history of America - it is built on racism. There may be a high crime rate for African Americans but that has absolutely nothing to do with their biology, it comes about due to discrimination and segregation of today and of the past. You really need to actually educate yourself on U.S history and once you have you may start to realise how evident racism is in America still. There are economic reasons for crime and this has come out of segregation which was evident only 50 years ago!

Just because the U.S. has a black (actually he's half white, half black) President does not mean that racism isn't a reality. You're missing the point - You seem to be implying that "America" (ie. white America which is exactly what the founding fathers were trying to establish because only "caucasians" were "free", and blacks were considered not actually men at all but of a different species) "had" to integrate them into white American society which I find extremely ignorant.

The government right up until the 1960's had segregation laws - you can't just think within nearly 50 years everything should be OK and racism would fade out.
Biology isn't an argument - it's something they tried to use to defend slavery & segregation laws in the past - falsely. We are actually the most similar species genetically & inheritance of behaviour is not valid because it's something we learn from interacting within society.

Crime occurs usually from poverty & discrimination. There are completely logical explanations behind why their is a high African American crime rate. If you look at other discriminated groups all over the world you will find they also have a higher crime rate. And this has occurred due to segregation and discrimination. Just because the law says someone has rights certainly does not mean that is true in the actual society.

It has been proven that biology does not play any part in violence or crime. Society does. If you look at poor countries - they don't have a strong economy and poverty is one of the main reasons for crime, and this is why rates are higher.
With discrimination in society this leads to unequal opportunities and rights, which equals poverty. This is why there is a higher African American crime rate. It's not rocket science.

You're not considering that a higher % of African Americans are living in poverty, so of course they are going to commit a higher rate of crime. We're all equal by law as we are all human beings, but we are NOT equal in society due to prejudice. How is that hard to understand? If you still can't comprehend this then you must be either unintelligent or pretty prejudice. Do some research & educate yourself rather that restating hypothesis which have been proven to be false decades ago.
