Jazzamatazz albums made not just hip-hop history, it made music history!! I hate how hip-hop is ridiculed and not taken as a serious craft!! DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, Pete Rock, Nujabes, J-Dilla, Large Professor etc.. Create amazing soundscapes and techniques that alot of modern artists in most genres of music use!!
i get chill's through out my entire body when i hear R E A L H I P H O P....like this. people forgot what real hip hop was. nearly EVERYTHING out today is complete crap....and they have the nerve to act like their real deal hip hop....WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE! YER FUCKIN STUPID! thinkin hip hop didnt die....it did infact die...because its fucking embarrasing to call myself hip hop when people think this shit comin out today is hip hop! ITS A FUCKING SHAME! DEAD SERIOUS!
REAL HIPHOP.....WILL BE MISSED....REAL HIP HOP STILL ALIVE AMONG US REAL HIP HOP FANS KEEP IT ALIVE MY PPLS!!!!!!!!!!!!KILLUMINATI...PUFF PUFF PASS ;)
Real hip hop. Just know you gave your soul to what really counted, not a sell out like all these bitch ass niggas who sold their sold their souls for a nice car.
Guru and Gangstarr dominates you ignorant motherf*ckers!
i see for example guru made this hip hop mix with jazz then i see youngers fucking shit says we do hip hop and talkig bullshit . i gotta message to all the wac mc just learn from guru and rakim and kool g rap and shit fuck up
@elvgero15 Yeah, that's why I said when solar is NOT around, guru shines. When solar is on the beats, so much of Gurus shit as wack. But this shit right here, is GREAT!
Gotta respect and admire the ill, poetical truth rendered by Guru... not to mention, the beautiful vocals of the legendary Chaka Khan. It's music like this that make Hip-Hop one of, if not the most beautiful music in the world... Hip-Hop is indeed the heart and soul of our people.
GURU - Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal....... They say energy never dies.....so there is a end but it doesn't stand for what most people think but thats only my belief.........All Things are possible through him...........Be Blessed......One Love My Brother.........
Untouchable....Hip hop with substance will remain much longer than the intermittent mainstream nonsense those many tend to confuse as what is hot.......He was an integral artist in life and his dedication to staying true to his art and style is what has created his legacy long before his death. RIP Guru
@breedap777 Incredibly righteous words right there, I rarely venture into video comments but that was spot on man, True indeed !! One of the authentic hip-hop characters no doubt, RIP!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm right there with you...I'm definitely not one to typically make comments on youtube vids, or to get emotional when a music artist passes, but today is a different day. His lyrical prowess is unmatched. He's educated stylistically and it translates to his music which has also transcended beyond boundaries of language throughout the world...Hip hop has mos definitely suffered a true loss and irreplaceable voice/mind.
This song was number 1 for a long time on rap city during summer of '95. I still fuck wit this track. This and that joint INVETRo by Organized Konfusion. Both got a jazz infulence within their sound
I remember playing this song so much that my disc stopped playing... I cant wait to play it this summer and watch the looks on these young kids faces because they have no clue of what REAL HIPHOP is.
@blackmale78 they don't know because no one wants to school. Instead people just talk about what they don't know. When I was growing up I listen to Atlantic Starr, Luther, Anita, The Chi-lites, Dramatics, AWB, Parliament, Ojay's Stevie, and the likes because my folks listened to it. We use to get up on Saturday's cut on the record player and clean up. That doesn't happen anymore. So instead of us talking about what they don't know, school them, that is how people learn not from criticism. Peace
@phoenixsimone you're absolutely right though I wonder if for the youth nowadays has the patience, things go fast and 5 years ago is already ancient and corny
Not knowing is bad, but not wanting to know is even worse. Teaching the youth is what i'm all about but, on the same token a closed ear can't hear. So the youth that want to learn will enjoy wghat ALL MUSIC is about while the others may miss out not criticising just speaking truth.
Jazzmatazz is such a unique vibe form of Hip hop and jazz!! That is why I respect Guru as an Aritst..and DJ Premiers work! Gangstarr will live in the minds of tru hip hop fans, like myself
@JDankens Yeah, He had something clever to say which was something that stupid one's don't understand.
You know nowadays artists have nothing clever to say but they have lots of listeners (Which seems that their fans are stupid or brainwashed by the mainstream media) and when they do have something to say, they talk hypocritically about world peace like "Let's put the guns down and party together" but it's not that simple.
What your witnessing is something that we've(meaning black people)bin bless with...music is such a big part of who we are...WOW! chaka is the queen..look at the glowing black children...we're the people of the sun..i love to see my people in there true form...we've bin doing this since the big bang!
