Nope, i actually live in Europe, i attend college in Europe, called IBC, International Business College, and our teacher in Social Studies talked about this same issue!
He said this fear card was played sooo much in Denmark, in the 70's and 80's, and today we can see the birthrate of immigrants freefalling especially in third and fourth generation immigrants. It may be different in other places but not in DK.

There are more people in the world killing more people than Sadam was. And bringing war to Iraq, by taking out its military and police forces instead of integrating and retooling them allowed Al-Qaeda to gain a major foothold there it never would have with Sadam in charge.
In short, bringing war to Iraq has killed more Iraqis than if we'd let Sadam simply eventually die naturally or allowed him to be overthrown eventually.

Surely the victory lies in lining the pockets of those US Corporations that've won the contracts to rebuild Iraq's infrastructure... there's also an economic boost to the military industrial complex too. Not to forget years of oil contracts.
I'm not sure on the stats, but I think the net US economic loss in Iraq, once you take those factors into consideration, is nowhere near as great as it initially appears.

The biggest of those contractors switched from being a US company to being a Dubai company in order to escape paying US taxes and sending that money back.
So it is still a HUGE economic loss in Iraq to gain absolutely nothing. Perhaps not as big of a loss as Korea or Vietnam were, but still pretty bad.

The whole debacle with the FED and Geithner is only natural. Does anyone really believe Obama is too stupid to realize people don't trust Geithner. To call some the head of government stupid is unlikely, call the evil assholes is a lot more probable, whether you like it or not. Many of those at the top were some of the smartest people you would meet, to think they are out of touch is ludicrous, to think they are selfish, is quite a reasonable conclusion.
