From what little I could find, it comes from Norse Mythology and means "The Frost Giants." Again, I can't verify that, it's just what a simple search came up with.

You are correct, hrimthursum are Frost Giants from the land of eternal ice who are imprisoned at the roots of Yggdrasil and will rise at the Age of Chaos, bringing about Ragnarök and the end of the world in Norse Mythology.

Though most do not know, the prophecies are poemsm, in all of them most of the gods die and Midgard falls, but what happens after depends on what happens during Ragnarök, it is not set in stone.

I'm quite okay with gchrome's translation "Frost Giants", as hrimthursarna were born from the ice that according to myth covered everything at the dawn of time. Septic flesh keep their riffs simple but they give genious harmonies to it,what is important is what comes at the end which should sound good,not binaric and not monotonic.

Super technical stuff are nice sometimes but it really depends what you are looking for everyone has his own fetishes-mine are simple chords with good melodic harmonies
