  • DODGING THE QUESTION MUCH ??

  • gotta love how annie addresses hitchens while looking at the crowd, really shows her......... conviction.......

  • Catholics.......... ' Voliently EXPOSED '

  • Talking snakes, virgins in heaven, or the God of thunder. Stand by your religious convictions or get the #&&% out. Bunch of namby pamby watered down fence sitters.

  • Don't you love how the religious dodge the question on homosexuality.

  • There is no 'cure' for homosexuality, its a persons nature. That 'cure' your talking about was shock therapy where they would be hooked up to electrodes sometimes even causing brain damage. It was cruel and unnecessary.

  • Atheism is not a set of beliefs it is simply the disbelief that a god exists. There is no atheist dogma, there is religious dogma. It makes sense to do bad things in the name of religion but not in the name of atheism because atheism is just not believing in a god. You can be an atheist and not know anything about Evolution and not agree with Eugenics.

  • the muslim guy is a smart guy

  • The Muslim guy didn't answer any questions. I mean, for every question I commited to listen what he said and I hardly got any opinion out. He basically, but vaguely said Muslims are homophobic, though.

The guy on Christopher's dodged it too by saying he wasn't asked that, that he was asked about gay marriage as if he isn't saying something different by ignoring what the church says about it, even.

Goodness, religious people seem so damn dishonest.

  • he did answer it. he said islam has not said anything absolute about homosexuality.

  • @nemesis700

No, he did NOT say that in any sense whatsoever!

    I watched it yet again.

He vaguely but surely said MOST people in islamic world consider homosexuality a sin.

THAN, he criticized how people use Islam as an identifier rather than following Qur'an and that authority can't speak for Islam... without mentioning homosexuality!

Shortly: He dodged the question on what Islam says, but said Muslims are homophobic.

  • @nemesis700

No not Islam, just the Koran, the Hadiths and every Muslim society, sultan and Imam.. Fortunately they're allowed to lie.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Im not sure why you want me to point out jews stoning adulterers but i can think of an atrocity committed in the name of religion even nowadays.

Homosexuals being bashed and even killed by fundamentalists. It happens more so in the bible belt of america and in the middle east.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer I think he would be talking about a fetus in the womb at 28 days not an actual 28 month old baby that has been born. I know what happens to homosexuals in the middle-east i was talking about christians bashing gays. And yes some people who bash gays would happen to be atheists but i dont see your point. I dont know why you have these hateful feelings towards homosexuals, they have never done anything to hurt you.

  • @LauraKathleen05

I don't bash gays, but i don't believe they should have equal rights, i believe in the value of persecution. By protecting them we are creating them, and the last thing we need is more fags, they can't fight in wars and they can't copulate, they truly are useless. However the Muslims, as usual, take things too far...

And Peter singer was talking about born children, albeit ones with disorders, still, his views are very controversial.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer In my opinion, whether you are gay, straight, black. white, trans, retarded or whatever, you are still a human being and you should have rights. We cant create more homosexuals, they are born that way, and someone cannnot go from straight to gay.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer If you believe its a choice, you believe that they choose to be discriminated against and have their lives in danger. I have talked to homosexuals who have told me that they wish they could be straight because life is alot easier for straight people.

  • @LauraKathleen05

Then the system works. Sort of, you know we used to cure that, then the libs said it was rude to do so... So you can tell your gay friend that if it wasn't for PC he probably would be straight.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Studies on homosexuals have found that it is a combination of hormones and genes that can determine whether you are born homosexual or heterosexual. You can look these studies up yourself if you like.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer

The most persuasive argument though would be that it is obviously not a choice being that homosexuals have to go through alot of prejudice and who would choose to be discriminated against? Its silly to think that someone just wakes up one day and decides that they want to be gay. It doesnt make sense.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer They cant copulate but they can adopt needy children who would be put in foster homes if it werent for them. The only reason you dont know about homosexuals that serve in the military is because they have the 'dont ask dont tell policy.' Many homosexuals serve in the military especially women.

  • @LauraKathleen05

"Many homosexuals serve in the military especially women"

LOL, i would believe that.... They already had their heads shaved, ready for combat....

People don't decide to acquire any mental illness, however, doctors still tend to cure most of them, or at least try. Electro shock lobotomy, who wouldn't volunteer? They should try it on liberals at least.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer When the liberals this country was in good shape at least. You sir have a mental illness not the liberals.

  • @smithbrain

Which country are you talking about? Australia? i meant international liberals, do i really sound like a labor voter? I still like Pauline Hanson.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Or conservatives. Who knows? Maybe a shock of electricity might make them waver on their stubbornness once in awhile.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer There was recently a case about a gay man who served in the military for years went on 88 combat missions as a pilot who was asked to leave the military because of the policy. Lt. Col Victor Fehrenbach is his name. Theres a video from the Rachel Maddow show on him.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer There is no scientific evidence that abnormal parenting, sexual abuse, or other adverse life events influence sexual orientation. Current knowledge suggests that sexual orientation is usually established during early childhood.-The American Academy of Pediatrics stated in Pediatrics in 2004

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Sexual orientation probably is not determined by any one factor but by a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental influences. In recent decades, biologically based theories have been favored by experts.

  • Hitch slap them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They all dodge the homosexuality question. Geez thats something new.

  • @crimsonisms They have to. If they don't they end up looking more idiotic when they get the wrath of Hitchens after saying they agree with their religions anti-gay beliefs. Not to mention the killing laws.

  • an islamic apologist, never seen that before.. usually they get beheaded for not towing the koran line.

  • The question at 7:00 concerning whether or not there will ever be an atheist politician, including a possible PM for Australia is especially ironic given Julia Gillard and her emergence as an atheist and the new PM for Australia

  • Ok, at first I was impressed with the Muslim representatives eloquence, although not his ideals, but then I realised he was just Kevy Rudd in disguise. He’s just a politician in disguise. He managed to not answer any questions and sound classy in doing so!

  • there's a question that asks if an openly atheist person can be a leader of a country like uk, america or australia. australia just got an openly atheist person as our leader. and joy to the world.

  • @desiii420

Joy to the world? are you being sarcastic? Explain Julia's geopolitical achievements... And what's she gonna do about her spiraling debt? Spend another 10 billion!

  • @TaqiyyaExposer even though i dont agree with some of julias policies i still think its a step forward for australia to have an atheist prime minister. in america that wouldnt happen

  • @LauraKathleen05

Well explain the benefits of an atheist leader then... How could they instill moral virtues in society or do you hate morality and civility too? Or does her morality come from the teachings of Christianity, which she then denies? What specific joys does an atheist leader bring to the world? Name some others... I can only think of Mao Tse-tung and Pol Pot

  • @TaqiyyaExposer well i would say a benefit of an atheist leader would be to use logic and reason to make decisions, and not base them on faith. And you christians always come up with those two dictators just to make us look bad, its getting old. Anyway what they did was not in the name of atheism.

  • Comment removed

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Atheist simply means disbelief in god, it doesnt have any moral or ethical teachings attached to it. I just think its a positive thing to have a leader whos not making decisions based on the morality of the bible which is atrocious by the way. If we did that we'd own slaves, be stonning adulterers and homosexuals and raping people.

  • @LauraKathleen05

So can you point to me the part of the bible that says to stone adulterers or homosexuals? Or for that matter condones rape? Perhaps you should read the bible instead of mouthing off like a true fool. And, tell me which decision any other of our Christian prime ministers have made that you consider illogical, unreasonable and based on Christian teachings? What a pathetic slurry...

  • @TaqiyyaExposer It's there in the OT in all its horrific infamy. Check out Leviticus 20:10-13; Leviticus 21:9; Leviticus 19:20 and Deuteronomy 22:28-29.

  • @ReverendNat

Do you mean when God tells the Israelites to destroy SPECIFIC tribes that no longer exist, and permits them to take the virgins as slaves? So, how many Hittites Girgashites and Amorites are there in Australia to fear such commands?

Ow wait, even if those long ago disposed of races did still exist, every one of those verses you mentioned were abrogated by later verses, such as love your enemy, and pray for those who persecute you... Nice try you retarded atheist...

  • @TaqiyyaExposer "abrogated" you say, dear kind sir? Surely you do really mean contradicted ... But then Luke 19:27 agrees nicely with Moses' horrific infamy, "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." Ouch!

  • @ReverendNat

Luke 19:27? The story Jesus told about an evil king? Explain how that means anything? Let me guess, you haven't read the passage before or after, and you actually assumed that Jesus said that as an order.. My God, your attempts are truly pathetic.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer In context around Luke 19:27 (if you take the time to read it) Jesus was speaking a parable of a certain noble man and his kingdom ... you are perfectly right to say he was an evil king ... for the parable is about Jesus himself. It is one of those parables that make Christians squirm.

  • @ReverendNat

Are you REALLY going to try to leave it at that? utterly pathetic... Not worth replying to.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Thanks for supplying my response ... You are right. Proverbs 26:4-5. Cheers.

  • @ReverendNat

    Pathetic...

  • @TaqiyyaExposer .. is that your signature?

  • @ReverendNat

    ...Sigh...

  • @ReverendNat thank you!

  • @TaqiyyaExposer -If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city. Deuteronomy 22:23-24

  • @LauraKathleen05

Got any examples of that happening, given that you claim it is a part of Jewish religion. Jews used to actually do that punishment, but when they tried to do so in front of Jesus he said unto them, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, they all walked away.

Since then it seems that Jews don't follow it anymore, as seen in Israel, although, yes, it is technically still part of their religion. Got any heinous verses which actually result in barbarous acts today?

  • @TaqiyyaExposer

Numbers 31:17-18 "Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves."

  • @TaqiyyaExposer and only if she feels that it is necessary. In situations such as rape and incest sometimes it is better to not bring a baby into the world if it was conceived in such dreadful ways

  • @TaqiyyaExposer If we got our morals from the bible we would be killing homosexuals, adulterers and apostates. I gave you some quotes straight from the bible to verify these claims.

  • @LauraKathleen05

From the old testament, from a time when we were doing that, and still were better than the atheists at the time.

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Atheists use logic and reason to give us our morals. Would you like to live in a society that thinks its ok to kill, rape, torture and steal? No you wouldnt. This is the reason why we dont do these things, because it would be bad for the progress of our society. We dont need the bible to teach us that killing is wrong, we know it is because of these reasons.

  • @LauraKathleen05

Yes, you atheists are so reasoned, kill infants and but do not kill murderers....

  • @TaqiyyaExposer Not all atheists agree on all these issues, some are pro-choice and some are pro-life. I happen to be pro-choice because i think that it is the mothers right to choose whether she should abort her pregnancy, in the earliest stage possible of course. Im not talking about killing babies, im talking about aborting a fetus that cannot think or feel pain.

  • @LauraKathleen05

Prominent atheist professor Peter Singer believes that parents should have the choice to kill their child up 28 days old (after birth). Yet, he is against torturing terrorists or killing murderers. This man is widely respected in the atheist community.

You are still to point me to a biblical verse which actually creates atrocities in todays world, why haven't you shown me a case of Jews stoning an adulteress?

Cant be hard right, you implied the verse was so unequivocal?

  • @TaqiyyaExposer 28 days is the limit in which it is legal to abort a pregnancy because this is the time before the fetus has developed a nervous system and functioning brain and is able to feel pain. I agree with him on this issue.

On the other hand, I am in favor of the death penalty for murderers. Im not sure about torture it depends on how harsh. I think the terrorists should be locked up though for sure.

  • @LauraKathleen05

What part of after birth do you not understand? We're talking about a four week old child, not a fetus. You still agree with him? And Homosexuals do not get bashed in the middle east, they get beheaded, do some fucking research.

show me some evidence of fags being beaten by Christians, and i can show you some being beaten by atheists. I hate fags, and believe it or not, i have never once been to church, i simply respect their faith and have no problem with living with them.

  • @desiii420 And the head of the opposition in the Uk, Ed milliband, is openly atheist. As is his brother david. There have been many atheist politicians in the UK. But it is not a big thing. most people form the UK are non-religious and classify their religious persuasion as 'other'.

  • @desiii420 hang on if she is an atheist then upon whom does she take her vows. In times of distress in whom does she place her trust?

  • @smithbrain people not fairy tales

  • @59spore The word of god are not fairy tales and people by their very nature are lying, cheating and exteremly dishonest they are in constant state of darkness they need religion to show them the light

  • @desiii420 hitchens believes that obamas an atheist

  • @desiii420 Unfortunately, it'll never happen in the US. I'm expatriating to Australia if Michelle Bachmann wins the 2012 election in the US. The women are hotter and have sexy accents anyways.

  • poor anne is an "ala carte" catholic. she takes what she wants and leaves the other stuff on the table. waleed is an intellectual and seems to enjoy constructing arguments and dissecting them for everyone.

  • "Dodging it"

  • Disguising the growing incompatibility of Islam with natural morality, and the impotence of keeping its followers consistently and unshakenly gripped to its religious traditions, as civilization grows and connects with each other, as an "ongoing conversation," is indeed very fucking good.

  • thanks for sharing.

    anne is annoying.

  • Poor Anne is herself conflicted, if only she would listen to what she is saying. So Anne do you really believe the earth was made in six days? I will judge your credibility on your answer.
