  • What a shame she is affected. A beautiful mare!! It does prove as you say! Test your breeding stock!!

  • Well we didn't know until this year that she is affected because she is a horse without clinical signs but a positiv test result in february 2010.

How can you know that a clinical healthy looking horse is sick without having a test result that tells you the opposite?

She even gave this year a beautiful colt birth because she was in foal when I got the test result this year and it was a huge shock for everybody who knows her because noone expected that she should be a CA afffected horse.

  • @ELAcrisi

To my luck the sire is CA N/N for that the foal is just CA carrier but now as I know that she is affected I will no more breed her for sure even her foals are absolutly stunning

  • I m glad she has a good home with ppl who take care about her, but why did u breed with her when u know she has it? Sorry but horses with any kinds of deseases should not produce foals. Same with norwegian horses and cerebellar ataxia for example.
