  • @darklotrfan193 It's funny that you can't come up with actual evidence to support your claim so you merely buttress your argument by resorting to feeble insults; not that being liberal is insulting in any way...

  • This is how badly the Republicans are fucked: Not even Zombie Reagan will help them. Obama will just bring a shotgun to the first debate.

  • @darklotrfan193 I don't understand your argument here. Apparently you've never met a Senior citizen, they LOVE Social Security. Oh and that damn social program called the Police and Firefighters, I guess we don't need those either. Or public education, I hate social programs like that. You're a moron -____-

  • I smell New Orleans voodoo... ummhmmmnnn! only the folks in ''the big easy'' can reanimate corpses.

  • I so thought this would be funnier than it was. Instead, now I'm just sad...

  • @darklotrfan193 So in your view if you don't have a job you should, what, starve? There's being fiscally conservative and there's being idiotic. I suspect you've crossed the line somewhere.

  • @darklotrfan193 you, sir, forget that Reagan tripled the national deficit throughout his presidency... oh and that he only won because he supported social programs, which played a huge rule in the election.

  • wtf is that

  • Used tainted blood from phycotic rabbits

  • FUCK YEAH COMMUNISM

  • atleast i think everyone know this is fake :P

  • Reagan sound like a dog lol the gop always mess up our country big

  • tonight jindal returned to louisiana praising reagan

    "mrreeeeaaaaaaggggaaaaaaannnn!" LMFAO

  • no but Wesley Clark should have.

something is wrong with the USA.

  • Could the reanimated reagan corpse beat obama?

  • Hello!CAN SOMEBODY TELL A GERMAN whats going on here?

    L.G.

  • this made me uncomfortable on some levels...

    but sure is funny :DDDDD

  • Reagan was the middle classes enemy. Friend to the wealthy and a thug.

  • @omegapointil did he not help win the cold war?

  • @athono If you know your history then you would know that the Soviet Union Collapsed on its own and the people responsible for ending the Cold war was Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin. All Reagen did was yell at a wall.

  • @ElGuerrillero8595 ... and build up the US military. Are you saying that SDI and the build up of the US military had nothing to do with bringing Gorbachev to the table and the eventual dismantling of the Soviet Union?

  • @athono The SDI was never built, Reagan's defense spending and build up put us in a larger debt (which is the one we are dealing with today). The Fall of the Soviet Union was caused by a combination of struggles within and outside the Soviet Union. Many of these factors were: the military failure of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, The demand for democracy in Russia, the failure of the Soviet economy, internal power struggles within the communist party, Gorbachev's policy of Glasnost

  • @athono It would have actually happened regardless because the USSR imploded mostly due to nationalism in the republics, Gorbachev's unwillingness to supress it by force and media blackouts due to his championing of glassnost, and economic woes inherent to communism. At best you could say the U.S. military buildup hastened that by forcing the Soviets to up military spending in a doomed attempt to catch up.

  • @ElGuerrillero8595 yes, because gorbachev himself didn't say that reagan spent the SU into dissolution. if you know your history, you wouldn't talk out of your ass.

  • @deucelittle Sorry that I like to base my evidence on facts rather than what Fox news says. Tell me what did Ronald Reagen do instead of making speeches ripping off Hollywood scripts and putting us in debt on projects that were never completed? He was at the right place and at the right time. Did you know that Gorbachev had already announce his plans to bring down the Berlin wall and then later R&R makes a rousing speech yelling at the wall and takes credit for all.

  • @ElGuerrillero8595 who said anything about fox news...is that a rallying cry for ignorant people who don't want to address the single issue/question I raised? I'm sure you know more about the Soviet Union than Gorbachev himself.

  • @deucelittle I automatically assume fox news since the use of misinformation glorification of Ronald Reagen is very present in their news and pundits. Also on your original comment, you did not make a question for me to answer and instead criticized my earlier comments. I do not claim to know the WHOLE history of the Soviet Union however I know enough to see past the lies that the American media has used to glorify R&R for th end of the cold war.

  • @deucelittle Also have you ever heard of the August Coup? This was a coup by members the Soviet Communist Party to overthrow Gorbachev. If the coup had succeeded the Soviet union would still exist. But because of nationalist movements and combined forces of reformers and the will of the Russian people, the conductors of the coup lost morale and soon lost the struggle to regain power.

  • @deucelittle Also You know you should go to the library and read a book on the August coup, I hear our government is spending alot of money on these things. And it is an interesting subject matter.

  • @omegapointil my butt

  • @omegapointil you're as much of a fucking dickhead with stupid comments like that as the dicks on the other side of the spectrum who scream obama is a socialist

  • @omegapointil lolumadbro ur poor

  • Hilarious! Thanx for posting, I needed a laugh.

  • Reagan was always undead, this is news?

  • your all fucked......

  • Any chance he will eat Palin?

  • i bet she would taste yummy!

  • I would eat her.

  • "lost the endangered species list"...brilliant!

  • Thanks for sharing this one with me, Donna! Funny stuff. Zombie Reagan....

  • Bwhahaaa and i quote "murrrrr"

  • Guys I love a serious political discussion..but damn...cant we talk about zombie reagan

  • Its hilarious that the onion owners can't bring themselves to trash the democratic party.

  • their tactics and fundraising efforts are sure to go up. The demographic that greatly helps the Democratic Party in the general elections (young people, Hispanics, racial minorities) are not as likely to show up to the 2010 Midterm Election (statistically and historically speaking). With this in mind, I predict that the Dems will still maintain control of both Houses of Congress by a razor thin margin. When Obama doesn't use majorities and tries to please everyone, the GOP only gains strength

  • Obama's main weakness is that he fails to be bipartisan like the Republicans. That is to say, fuck bipartisanship and get your own agenda in, some good policies will turn this country around and soil the republican brand name. Instead he's trying to please everyone, republicans will never be happy so screw'em and stick with the base who supported you.

  • At a certain point, you are correct in that bipartisanship becomes irrelevant at a certain point. Although I have to applaud the President and the Dems for trying to include the GOP in the debate process, the political discourse is being diluted by contemptable nonsense. Our mainstream media is garnering high ratings with the tea party and birther crazies because that is the image and face of the GOP today (or in this video's satire, Ronald Reagan corpse). Obama needs to stick w/ his base

  • "bipartisan like the Republicans" ???

Did you actually just write that??

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh my, I needed a good laugh today!

Type in "The Republican Bipartisan Myth" and read the article by John Ridley. Let's hope it shuts you up (though not likely, as Reps tend to do nothing but whine and complain even when they are wrong--as they are now).

  • I mean exactly what I said. Look at how Bipartisan they are, I want Democrats to be doing that rather than selling out the base.

  • POST OFFICE = FAIL

    MEDICARE = FAIL

    MEDICAID = FAIL

    DEFENSE SPENDING = FAIL

Health Care??? and we expect the government not to fail? what planet do you live on?

PLEASE name for me ONE thing that the government does realllllly well. I've yet to find an answer.

  • MrQuickwit09-THINK about what you are saying. Medicare and Medicaid are not failures simply because Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck says so. Think of all the people who are living today as a result of these programs. As for the Post Office think about where we would be without it. Does it really need to be profitable?Even neo con Bill Krystol inadvertently admitted the government run medicial program for the military is a great program. You see, they are already doing what you claim they cannot.

  • lol THINK about the BILLIONS that goes to medicare fraud. Fuck rush and glen. THINK past your partisan ideology. Obviously you don't know much about medicare. I can probably count on one hand the doctors in my city that accept medicare. Hmmm you mean a like having postal service run by a corporation? WAAAAY better off.

Think of how much better care would be if the government didn't get in the way. You are getting your talking points from olbermann.

  • Again, you've yet to answer my question... Name one thing that the government does well.

  • MrQuickwit09-Are you a little slow ? When Bill Krystol admitted that the military medical program is a good program, which is run by the government he admitted that the government is at this time running a successfull healthcare program! THAT MEANS THAT SUCH A PROGRAM IS ONE THING THE GOVERNMENT IS DOING WELL Your screen name "MRQuickwit" is not a good description of you. DIm Wit, or Slow Wit may be more appropriate. Now I have answered your question twice ! Did you get it this time ?

  • Just because I call a duck a cat doesn't make it so. neither does one person's commentary... not to mention the fact that NO ONE in the government has been correct on anything the government has done correctly or predicted the recession. So, do you have any proof of something the government is doing well or do you just take a couple of people's "word" for everything. Personally, I refrain from simpleton name calling: it shows a lack of intellect and class, but do as you wish it doesn't bother me

  • MrQuickwit09-You are missing the point. Dems are for healthcare and repubs are not. Repubs use the same arguement as you when it comes to government running a healtcare program. When caught off guard as Bill Krystol was he freely admitted the military health program was a good program. In other words he contradicted himself and his party. If you know who Krystol is and what he stands for my answer would be very clear. You may not get your talking points from Limbaugh but they certainly are the same

  • Do you have any idea how military healthcare works? Those on ACTIVE duty don't even get to use it. Guess what there are no sick days in the military. You spend your entire day with the medic or in the company CQ. Yeah.... reallly successful program. I find it funny that you quote a neoconservative with limited knowledge on military healthcare much less a subject matter expert on anything.

  • MrQuickwit09-AGAIN you are missing the point. Focus on my comments and stop going off on a rant that has nothing to do with what I have said. Go back and read my comments again and think about what I actually have said. It is no wonder this country is circling the drain with people such as yourself. Do you have some sort of attention disorder ?

  • Again? I think i've been the only one on target. Yet again, you resort to lowclass attacks against persons instead of ideas. You attempted to suggest that ONE person who has NO CLUE about military healthcare is the endall to an argument. and you are saying i'm off base? WOW.

  • MrQuickwit09-Government allows us to do together what cannot be done as individuals. Government isn't the problem. The leaders chosen by those who have little understanding of issues and consequently choose the wrong leaders to run our goverment is what is wrong. Educate the people and teach them to see through the rhetoric of those who manipulate them and our country will be a better place. Like it or not your rhetoric is typical republican from A-Z. So whats your plan for replacing government ?

  • Typical republican that wants to legalize marijuana, legalize ALL non-criminal "illegal" aliens, and get rid of an income tax and replace it with a fair tax? Hmmm if thats Republican A-Z its a new theory to me. Assumptions... well we all know what we say about them.

  • MrQuickwit09-"Legalize marijuana, legalize ALL non=criminal illegal aliens etc"

What in hell are you talking about ? What does any of that have to do with the price of tea in China ?

  • You said my beliefs were republican A-Z, i am proving otherwise... and you suggest that I have no attention span?

  • MrQuickwit09- Of course there is medicare fraud just as there was fraud by Haliburton/KBR when billing the government for services rendered in Iraq. Because there are those who are dishonest when billing Medicare doesn't mean Medicare is a failure. My "talking points" regarding government run healthcare came straight from neo conservative Bill Krystol. I gave you what you asked for and now you are attempting to save face with a childlike arguement.

  • Why do you like invoking the WORDS of some republican, they are all liars if you ask me.

You also are trying to pin me as a conservative, which is ridiculous considering i've already bashed both liberals and conservatives.

So, since you have yet to "prove" the government is good at anything other than stating one person's OPINION, I'll ask again. Name one thing that the government does well.

  • As for Krystol... I'll simply say I agree with this. Eric Alterman wrote that "if one looks for a consistent pattern to Kristol's perpetual wrongness, it's not hard to discern.

  • MrQuickwit09-The point is not that few doctors in your town accept medicare. The point is that many people rely on this program and without it they would have nothing. You may want to ask why they do not accept medicare. If you take the profit out of healthcare with a SINGLE PAYER government funded program the cost goes down significantly and even if a tax increase were neccesary to pay for it all individuals would save. Obviously there are many, many costs that you are not considering.

  • I'm saying that medicare and medicaid help about 10% of the people that are given it. Get ride of both programs and try something new. If you bought a house for 100,000 and the contractor stopped at 10% of the construction you would be pissed, why is healthcare any different?

  • MrQuickwit09-Your analogy really doesn't work here but I understand what you were attempting to say. Sadly your figures are way off. Often individuals and political parties use such hyperbole in an effort to sway the thinking of those who just swallow such nonsense and are really only interested in getting back to their football game. If you would like to debate in a common sense manner I am up for that but I really have no time for your nonsense that has no basis in reality.

  • Are my figures off? Prove otherwise. Again, you continue to berate me in an attempt to propagate your "beliefs." Ok fine, i'm a gay, straight, loser, with a 3 inch penis with an iq of 3. Now we got that out of the way, do you actually have a point or do you just deny anything that doesn't fit your preconceived notions about the world works outside of your home?

  • I don't say that medicare or medicaid are failures because ANYONE says so. I say it based on facts and statistics. You try and run a business where 60% goes towards fraud and tell me its successful. Why is the government any different? So you are saying that UPS couldn't do what the Post Office already can't do? UPS cannot compete with the Post Office because the Post Office pays its workers with U.S. taxpayer funding. I've already mentioned that

  • Makron5-And that is simply the way it is. When repubs were in power they couldn't care less about what the dems had to say. If repubs didn't vote party line leaders threatened retaliation. It would be nice to have bipartisan legislation but the repubs agenda is to keep the status quo and we all know where that has taken us. Dems should seize the moment and do what they can to help the country while the can.

  • Did you read what I said? I said pretty much flat out said republicans are not very bipartisan and I want democrats to do the same since fuck republicans, but if I don't spoon feed this then everyone thinks I'm a republican whining democrats are not playing bipartisan enough. (And looking at my statement it should have been spoon fed enough.)

  • Makron5-Did you read what I said ? Hey, I am agreeing with you 110% ! Sorry if I didn't make that clear but I am on your side. All too often people tend to simply repeat what they hear and actually have no real knowledge of what is happening-they miss the obvious. Nice to see that some actually see what is really going on. Have a great weekend my friend and keep up the good work.

  • I LOL'ed at Hannity interviewing Zombie Reagan!

  • Am I the only one who finds this as terrifying as it is funny? There's something...unsettling about it. Thanks for posting!

  • OMFG!! The GOP started a zombie apocalypse!

  • Nothing gives Republicans a hard-on like Reagan: dead or alive.

  • @expatted I'm a Republican and I couldn't give a crap about Reagan (or Bush).

  • Or Mitt. OMG, Lincoln is rolling in his grave at the idea of a son of Joe Smith becoming president

  • So true. When Republicans can only offer Palin, Jindal and Bohner, I guess their best bet is a dead man.

  • Note that my comment is based on the fact that Obama is basically not really doing much to help the country. Americans will see this and not vote for him if at all. This leaves the republican base untouched which will lead to Obama having a huge problem winning. We've seen how an uninspired base does before with Kerry and it's not pretty.

  • Makron5,

You do have to remember that the 2004 election had the best GOP turnout in history and the Bush-Cheney campaign mobilized the base on their strong suits (defense, national security, and social issues). Although they're doing a great job at obstructing Obama's agenda through false rhetoric and fearmongering, the GOP still lacks a leader to give the Republican brand a good name. With the extreme right of the base getting ginned up by the GOP talking points (i.e. Beck and Limbaugh)
