  • My ass is on guitar..:D

  • does anybody even know the actual chords in the intro?

  • Comment removed

  • the 6th string is on D, for the riff that starts in 1:20 can be played, and the "bugle chord" is a fifth dim.

  • at 1:07, the "Bungle Chord" is a standard power chord with the middle note down a half-step. It just makes a diagonal up the strings on the first three strings. He does that for about ten seconds then goes back to regular power chords. These are known as "Bungle Chords" or tri-tone chords. or Diminished fifth power chords. Anyone with questions, I may be able to help...

  • sounds good to me.

  • give me the tab please=

  • there is a tab in UG

  • yeah this is sick man any chance you could tab it out? or post a lesson?

  • What tuning are you in?

  • i think i just transcribed it in normal tuning - eadgbe

  • NICE!!!!

  • maybe a lesson of it ?? slower version :p or positions at least :p

  • 1.20 is abit off, tune to drop D n u should b able to figure out with open 1st n 3rd

  • Damn! I love you

  • awesome dude..

  • thats pretty mad

  • thank you so much for posting this video! I was pretty sure sure what I was playing was correct and getting to see someone else play it with the the track helped me where I was stuck! There is lot going on at once in this song! again, THANK YOU!

  • So. Fucking. Good.

  • how the fuck do u play the bungle chord!?!?!

  • between 1:07 and 1:14 there are certain parts with Tri-Tone Bungle chords.

  • tabs?????

  • tabs???

  • すごい

  • uhh.. :)

  • i transcribed it.. learned it by listening

  • Thats how I do it. Good job dude.

  • Everyone who sees this video should search you-know-who gets booed (MIke Patton performing) and leave a comment thanking BoomBoxJakey (the poster of the video) for posting. He really deserves it. By the way nice guitar playing.

  • good job

  • Perhaps what they mean something like 4/4+5/8?

  • Ace, good job.

    Bang on :P

  • I have no clue what these numbers mean, but anyone playing bungle gets points in my book, well done man

  • thanks ;P

  • this would absolutly not confuse daney carey... daney carey plays shit like 5.5/8 time sigs, and 3.5/4... yes you read that right... this time sig in this song is fairly simple if you know when it changes...

  • what?

who said anything about danney carey?

and its called 7/8, not 3.5/4

  • uhm no, difference, 3.5/8 has 7 8th notes...7/8 has 8 quarter notes... same as 5.5/8

  • me and a flatmate (both second year music students at university) agree that you would never use decimals in a meter unless you wanted to indicated a ratio (maybe use for triplets)

also, 7/8 has 7 eighth notes :P but i think that was just a typo you made

  • lol ... HEY PLAY SOME 1.75/2 !

  • 3,4/4 is completly different in terms of how the music is written. meters are shorter and the tempo is slower in most cases, not calling you stupid, just thought you should know :)

  • you said something about danny carey dumbass.

  • oh yeh, hah! this may be true

    ignore that :)

  • Sounds very tight. What guitar do you have, it looks pretty sic?

  • its an ibanez gsz120

  • any chance of quote unquote or squeeze me macoroni lol

  • im not such a great fan im afraid, although i have really enjoyed (in some sick way haha) what ive heard so far.. i have squeeze me macaroni.. its mad, makes me laugh too. im going to say no for now.. just becase... its so strange.. well i dont know. but maybe some day :D

  • pretty much ;/

    :D

  • Mike patton wrote Ars Moriendi

  • All of the members that were Mr. Bungle were extremely talented, including Mike Patton. Everybody just chill.

  • hurrah, he speaketh sense :)

  • cheers!

the guitar, its just an ibanez gsz120 but it has a bareknuckle warpig pickup. im using a pod XT live as an amp.

  • Nice job.

BTW Dunn and Spruance are both more talented than Patton.

    Patton gets too much credit.

  • Super smooth, my man! Love Bungle.

  • nice! you didnt play the end though?

  • yeah theres lots of it i didnt play hehe

my main aim was just to try and work out the riffs ive got here.. it was pretty late at night at the time and i thought i'd better get it down before i slept else i'd forget it

    thanks :)

  • Eh....why does everything sound good but the vocals...I mean I think I would like Mr Bungle if there wasn't any vocals....ok, no if the vocals where better...what's your take...eh I just hate the guy's voice.....

  • hmm, patton's got a pretty unique vocal style.. bordering on the comic sometimes. i kinda like it, but its something ive become more used to so i guess thats why. i do prefer his voice in tomahawk. good stuff over there.

  • UMMMMMM

    you're joking right?

    I mean...what the hell

the only think you don't like about Bungle is Patton?????

    Jesus Christ.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but thats like saying you'd like the idea of Heaven if God wasn't there.

    what I'm sorry....huh?

    I'm confused now.

WHAT THE HELL??? Patton is the LAST person I would hat in this band. Infact, other than Patton everyone in this band is BORDERLINE decent. Seriously.

WOW I'm speechless...I'm going to bed now...

  • eh I don't mean it that way...like take Patton out of the band...I mean I'm sure he is the leading writer of all of the songs, so right there he earns his keep, I'm just saying I'm not so into his vocals....I like Primus okay, and I think they can be out there, but I'm just not in to his singing, nor do I like Metallica's....good everything but hate their singer....eh call me weird....

  • He was not the lead writer for all the songs

  • eh huh I just don't like the vocals...

  • "eh I don't mean it that way...like take Patton out of the band...I mean I'm sure he is the leading writer of all of the songs, so right there he earns his keep," Your quote, just responding to it....you said right there, I'm sure he's the leading write for the band.

  • ...so I did say that...heh sorry...

  • If you just took the time to look on the albums, patton wrote like 1/3 of the "songs", as much as Spruance and Dunn, and in my opinion, Sprunace and Dunn wrote better music pieces than patton did (like carry stress(Dunn), desert schearch(Spruance), Ars meriendi, Platypus, etc.)

  • however Patton could sing them better....SO...thumbs down for you my friend, you lose.

  • Great song. nice job.

  • Ha! Very nice job!!!
