Oh my God I've just watched this movie on the tv (I´m from Brazil) and I cried soo much, and this is something that I don´t do much... it made me remember of my dog, R.I.P Luke, we stood together for 16 year... And also made me think how can some people harm those amazing creatures... awesome movie!!!!!
i came to know the story of hachiko when i was 10 yrs old...my father taught me how to be kind to animals. when my father was single and worked on a ship, he had a dog named roy who dived with him to the sea from the ship. then in 2002, my cousin and i had a dog almost like the color of roy...waited outside my room until june 2009 and he passed on...sigh....i live with 2 cats and i would never leave them....
I love movies, I've watched tons of them... Many of them supossed to make me cry, none did. So I thought movies couldn't make me cry, just couldn't, and I watched this one. Hachiko. I couldn't stop crying with this scenes... Second time I watched it, same thing happened. Now I watched only the last scenes here, to remember, again I didn't think I would cry but I did. I'm releasing the last tears right now.
WIth Marley and Me, Marley had a good life full of love. Hachi had some people that gave him food, and the single hope that someday his owner would walk through those doors. There have been three movies i've seen that have made me cry, and this one got me the hardest
I cried sooooo much when i watched this with my friends. and everytime I watch this scene i cry :'( i cried like a baby in marley and me and i cried even more while watching this film! </3
cried so very much, went from bawling at marley and me to this, dog movies always have me bawling! not many other films do strangely (watership down yes)

just watched it on hbo and it really broke my heart, especially when i know that its based on true story. oh the pain that he's going through for that long, the rest of his live spent in loneliness...
This was the most touching part of the movie, when she saw Hachi still waiting. Doesn't matter how many times I see this scene, I cry each and every time. I love the spirit of Hachi.
Oh my, this is so tear jerking, i hadnt seen the film, not sure if i could...how heartbreaking. Was it based on a true story?, what happened to Hatchi?, did he end his life all alone?..... :( sniff sniff.
@MsRoadangel Yes, it was based on a true story in the early 20's a dog name hachiko who waited for his master at the shibuya station in japan everyday for 9 years.
amazing story... it's so beautiful but so sad :( I was crying and thinking about this movie for 3 days. he was waiting for him with hope, every day, and sleeping under train waiting for his master. he was so loyal and full of hope that one day he will back.
My name is Abhijit Borah. I first watched this movie 3 months back. After watching it i couldn't hold back my tears. Today after watching this video here, yet again i couldn't stop crying!!!! Hachiko made me learn to be loyal to the persons who matters the most in my life!!!! Salute you Hachi!!!
I love this movie <3 I had my last, but I cry at that point, when Hachi remembers the first of its host and its conclusion, and then at the end of the Hachin image being displayed so it does not breathe: O
This movie is so beautiful, just the moment when he closes his eyes and dreams about the good times he had and when he finally dies he sees him again and he finally rests... the music is just so touching, i'm just crying while I'm writing this... it's just too amazing to describe it... beautiful!!
i had a dog 'Chau Chau ' every time when she heard the car that my grandpa owns she waited him infront of the house with so much adrenaline ^.^ she died 1 year ago she was 16 years old ;{ im 15 i miss her so much and when i watched this movie ... i fuckin cant stop thinkin about my dog and about the movie too ...

A powerfully emotional movie I never heard of and found completely by accident. It hit my heart like a ton of bricks at the end seen here. I watch it again and again.
It made me angry also that they abandoned him. Sadly the true story is very similar. At first in the true story Hachiko did live someone but he died also. Then he became homeless.
The only thing is this shouldnt have happend. His daughter lived close, she shoulda walked him there every day for a month so he had a route down then walked him home. He coulda had a life and still waited. Thank goodness the real Hatchiko had a home close by with the professors gardiner, he waited at 5 till the last train came in then went home. Kinda nice the real story wasnt quite as sad. A very similer story happend in america with a dog named Shep.
@synaps13 I know this part upset me more than his waiting everyday. That no one took him home at night or provided a place for him at the station. The fact he was homeless was very, very sad.
@Min1161 if you think that's bad, watch the original japanese version, the people threw things at hachiko and even got ganged up on by other dogs, all hachiko could do was yelp....
hachi..your my hero....i'll always remember your loyalty...XDXDXD.....i wish i could have a dog like that, it seems it understands what people feel....<3<3<3
Every sad Movie with animals, makes me cra. People arent like that way, it doesent get me if people wait a long time. But an Animal, this Movie shows, that an Animal is the best Friend. He stay, until he die....=' (
My favorite scenes are the tree leaves greening then falling over and over, the wife discovering Hachi after 10 years, and of course the final scene. I wonder how many picked up on Hachi trying to stop his master by bringing out the ball to play with him to keep him from going to his death (dogs are figuring more and more into health problem detection). I loved the way he kissed the daughter's hand before leaving for the last time to finally take up permanent vigil at the train station.
wow. I have an akita/boader collie mix . when i leave for work she will walk with me to the door and when I shut it she will lay down and stay there until i get home at 6 . iam told that she will not get up for anything at all . it is amazing how faithful dogs are
The dog probably knew he had died, but being at the train station was the only place he could go to feel close to him. It's extremely rare to find an animal that mourns for the dead, humans and elephants are known to do it, but I think dog's can do it too.

If there is something called True Love in this world then this is the only creature that knows what it means...
What we call love is either passion, lust, attraction, care... everything else but love...

If someone I loved had a pet and died I would do everything to make them feel loved and keep them close as a reminder of the one I lost.
Not leave them alone to fend for themselves in this world.
Quite a dog to reserve so much love and admiration for such a human being.
Love how at the end he is reunited with the one person who truly loved him for eternity.
Also if you don't cry then you have no heart or soul and must be hollow on the inside.
