I recommend looking into a Cam Caddie Scorpion, $38 has afforded me a sturdy and effective camera stabilizer. I've captured some difficult shots with it and couldn't be more impressed. I highly recommend one.
Why don't you touch on the fact that all DSLR's that shoot video have an inherent problem with OVERHEATING!
That's right folks! Try as they might to be video cameras, THEY AREN'T! Unless you don't mind spending $3,500+ for a camera you have to wrap in ICE or take frequent breaks with.
Stopping Production every 20 to 45 minutes because your camera overheated and shut down IS NOT PROFESSIONAL. It's a JOKE!
Until they get that issue fixed, they are simply expensive toys.
@4Firearms but the other fact is: no one - and none of every film that ever created - was filmed 45 minutes in one session. Yes, i agree with your argument. the dslrs aren´t concepted to filming an marriage. But for Movies or clips its more than pro. A pro cost more than 6.000 and an dslr with the same or better qualitty only cost about 600! thats an fact too!
@2VisionsPhotography You're right they're better than pro, I have two 60Ds and was filming alongside a national news cameraman with his large ENG and he commented that the DSLRs are the future and will put him out of business. Regularly film for many hours, never had overheating trouble with my 60D.
@4Firearms@4Firearms theres a big difference between paying for a 1200 camera, than paying for rent of a bad ass toy you would only be able to afford to use in a serious business, like making a tv ad. dslr video are great for diy indie films. even house was recorded with the mark ii. Maybe if you use more than one dslr, and record only what you need, you can decreese overheating. i have magic lantern firmware, and even if it overheats faster, i have never had any problems recording 10min clips
Look at his head throughout most of this vid. It's so shiny that the lighting is making the top of it look white and it's blending in with the white background.
@gta78130 : Bla bla bla blaaaaa. Then make it yourself and break your oh so loved stuff. And by the way. Why do students always need to cry.. Then start working and aerning money. You tool!!!
i just can believe this hmmm,hmmm THING is $1255.98 really WOW.

@ReservadoStudios Hello, the camera in the video is the Canon 5D Mk II and the video was most likely shot using the Sony EX1. Cheers

@4Firearms I regularly use two canon 60Ds to film multiple (90 min) seminars in a day, they work great, never had a problem with overheating.

@MSproductions23 is that a chroma-key shot though?
EpicBusinessTools 1 year ago
@EpicBusinessTools I think so. It looks much too perfectly white to be a wall or fabric.

@gta78130 this really does seem to be the case for all film-related gear...even with today's cheaper DSLR alternatives.
