It takes forever to deliver because people order so many damn catalogs they don't need and probably don't read, let alone the amount of junk they're required to deliver. We're told to ignore the customers "politely" so we can keep "time management" of delivering junk mail HIGH. Most customers don't even know what their carriers name is !!!

There are almost as many white collar employees in the postal service as carriers or clerks. Making far more than 18.00 an hour and never touch mail. matter a fact? hellofa lot of them are just positions and have no actual physical job at all. and thats partially why the postal service is broke. Also there are NO government employees in the postal service. :)

A note to the Junk " out of touch " mail delivery system in the U.S. Could you PLEASE just boost the almighty stamp price to $1.00 instead of annoying us every few months with your crap !!! I always envy people who get their mail service more than 5 days a week. I know that in England they get there mail twice a day for six days a week but I didn't know that the U.S.A. gets it six days a week either. In Canada we only get it during the weekdays & even then it is so slow it literally takes 5 weeks to get a letter from Ontario (Central Canada) to B.C. (on the West Coast).

You are right on! Why is it so hard for people to not blame mgmt! Mgmt are the reasons why we are in this mess. I do not understand why some of the public take it out on the employees, knowing full well that it is the bosses that tell them when to start, what to do, and how to do it, (make the policies)and much at the public's expense. These guys need to do more research and talk about the root of the problem, not the front line workers! This is an unfair video to the many letter carriers!

Hey Jackie, the carriers wouldn't get an extra day off. They have a 5 day work week with a 6 day delivery, so they have what they call "floaters" that carry 5 routes on the sixth day. Going to 5 day delivery would eliminate 1/6 of the carrier jobs.

Just because the Post Office is open 5, 6, or 7 days a week doesn't mean each individual postal worker will work every day it is open. It could be open all week and a postal worker could have a 4-day work week.

I haven't given it too much thought until I watched this but Jackie is RIGHT! My mail carriers were friendly until 1996! I used to talk to my carrier all the time. In fact he'd even sit on the porch for a few minutes once in a while & "jaw". I sold him my cherry 1986 Ford F150 Lariat! I used to leave an illegal X-mas gift of $20 for the mail carrier. Now they act nasty & if they say anything they just grunt & its always somebody different.

I guess my postal workers have....gone postal.
