If you actually watch the last 30 minutes back, it's pretty obvious that Bobby killed himself. The phone call with nobody there, how depressed he is towards the end, the way he reacts when he is asked about playing ping-pong some time in the future.

1) Humor is a great way to get a point across- there is truth in every joke here.

2) So? They (the movie companies) glorify robbing banks, killing people, sex, drugs, racism, smoking, sexism, superiority complexes, killing animals, war, cross dressing and consumerism. This show is pretty tame.

And a lot of people could do well in an institute. Just saying.

@Andrew5010 Yeah, that's likely all it is, but I can hope for better... like maybe a premise that "it's not actually as bad as you think" and "everyone has a tough time growing up, sometimes you just need a change of perspective to realize it's not as bad as you think" kind of thing... but you're probably right.. it will probably be typical watered down boy meets girl everything is fixed by hooking up and/or feeling like you belong.
