I rermember waking up that morning stinking like camp fire ,after the last section was shot and scrubbing the over shot burs off the other sections of pour that make up this monster and sweeping up the limey dust, I remember how smooth ,cool, fresh and inviting it felt to the touch as I ran my hand over its surface and not a drop of paint. pure portland

I was the first to drop in on it,broke my ribs on the 2nd or 3rd go,slept in the pump truck to keep an eye out for the equipment overnite while the pump guys got showers and crashed at peoples houses to get ready to roll out to their next mission, a day to 2 later I am walking around the thin cinder block top with a pint of whisky in my back pocket and the chisel hammerdrill in hand chunking out the overspray for the pool coping and all Carlos can yell at me is "if you fall, fall in , not out!"
