  • why does he keep referring to bb king?

  • Don't be so hard on yourself. You're not an idiot just because your opinion is different than mine.

  • With Danny Gatton working with you at 11 years old you might get a fine axe out of the deal as a older player.

  • I can't get this out of my head. Man, this kicks azzzzzz..

  • is that billy sheehan on bass

  • Saw him last night in Albany . . . . .Oh MY GOD!! What a treat to be a witness!

  • en ook nog in de oosterpoort geweest? net als golden earring vorige week XD

  • bonamassa op nederlandse tv? en dat heb ik toen weer gemist....

  • Pabletelli the song is "Bridge To Better Days" from the "You & Me" album

  • name of the song please!!!

  • @pabletelli read description please !!!

  • @pabletelli : Bridge To Better Days is the name of the song. Hope that helps!

  • could it be that he started playing at 4!?!

  • i confused... Hes just playing standerd blues riffs, why is he so great again??

  • @Ricsic6 Although he is mostly in the same vein as Buddy Guy, SRV, with a bit of Zep mixed in, he plays with supreme feel and tone, has a good voice, and plays with the proficiency of Randy Rhoades. Compared to his modern day contemporaries: Tom Morello, John Mayer, Fruciante, why the hell shouldn't he be famous!? He stands head and shoulders above 99% of electric guitar players :)

  • @Ricsic6 nice voice good tone and his a nice person the things youl never be or have

  • @Ricsic6 How Can You judge someone on one song ??? SHame on you, the best way to understand why joe is one of the best artists today is by listen more songs. I can see that blues riffs makes you boring, than listen to "prisoner" and "black lung heartache" and even " no love on the street". Please listen these 3 songs and then come back and tell me if you like it or not. I respect your taste but you need to now more about that guy before asking.

  • Fucked up i missed this episode of this Dutch talkshow called 'Barend & van Dorp' at the time...

Otherwise i discovered Joe Bonamassa much earlier.

  • professionally at 12.sheesh

  • @seymourbbest there is always at least one idiot

  • That's Billy Sheehan on BASS,WOW!

  • @theclanmorrison No. It's not.

  • That's Billy Sheehan on BASS,WOW!

  • He looks like Mitch Hedberg here,Bless his soul!

  • Damn, that les paul-marshall combi sounds great!

  • Fuck he sounds like Koss

  • How simple is the riff in this tune? Engaging as hell, and the first that made me a Joe fan.

  • He's in his early 30's. He started at 12. Do the math. If you can.

  • @seymourbbest are u talking to me?

  • Love this song, saw this show on TV lol, best part of the show xD

  • He's not a kid, been playing for 28 years, age isn't the criteria, it's the talent and passion he has, put in more time than the older ones. I saw him 3 weeks ago live and it was the best concert I ever saw in my lifetime and I'm older than Joe, He's an artist unbeholden to any record label, he can do whatever he wants. Go Joe!

  • INCREDIBLE RIFF!

  • In my opinion the best version of this truly genious song. Keep going Joe!

  • How the frick did this guy not get a grammy???

  • @Kaizeppelin

    Grammy? What is that?!?

  • Opinions, opinions and more opinions from self aggrandizing experts/critics. It's art folks you like it or you don't. I like it. Good enough for me.

  • fun to see this. in those days (just 4 years ago) he was much 'greasier' than he is today, yet he dragged that silver jubilee everywhere, just as he does to this day. moreover, this is more blues than the stuff he does today, which is more 'joe bonamassa' than anything else (blues meets folk meets hardrock meets country?!). oh, and he isn't using a dumble-clone amp apposed to now.

  • @seymourbbest justin bieber really as good as all the hype? I'd trade him for half a bag of potato chips and two flat tires.

  • @cynicaldemon Right on, man. Life isn't a competition, neither is music.

  • Bonamassa is still a kid musically. That's what's wrong with music today- we're ready to crown someone king as soon as they arrive on the scene. You think taylor swift or justin bieber is really as good as all the hype? Bonamassa may be the best in 20 more years. Now tho, he isn't.

  • @seymourbbest Does it matter? Nobody will ever be the king of music. People need to start appreciating things differently, that's all.

  • @seymourbbest lol...hes been the music business professionally for more than 20 years buddy

  • Mediocre voice. Good, not great, guitar talent.

I seen Joe in concert. I've also seen at least 3 guitarists better than him. Don't get me wrong ,he's good but he's just not a top tier player yet. Someday maybe. He's still young and needs a bit more experience.

  • @seymourbbest You need your ears cleaning...

  • @seymourbbest please name these three guitarists. Do you even play? To say that he's not a top tier player is literally one of the worst posts I've seen on this thread yet. Most people throw words like that around and can't even play I-V power rock chord....

  • Guitar Hero

  • I love this song. The special thing is that I can hear it again and again without gettin tired of it. In my opinion the best version of the song in the net.

  • A rare video of Joe with Mark Epstein on bass.

  • De akoestiek is niet al te best in die Studio volgens mij, het klinkt een beetje uitgeholt.

  • ufffff.....!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Talent ! Plain and simple...G...

  • Helemaal blij dat hij nederlands kan XD ,beste gitarist in leven !

  • No I've seen Bonamassa live and he just doesn't have a great voice. Bonamassa reminds me of Jimmy Thackery----great guitar with a so so voice. Thackery has his drummer do a lot of the singing ,Bonamassa should get himself a singer.

  • @seymourbbest no way man i love his voice its soulful

  • @seymourbbest disagree, he has a great voice, rare combination of voice and guitar talent!

  • @seymourbbest he's got a great voice, there are many kinds, he cansing bluesy, jazzy, rock & roll, smokey you nmae it, also country, most of his fans love his voice, especially the female fans, it's great.

  • @seymourbbest you remind me of al the other trolls, they trie to get attention with an opinion that makes no sence, no arguments?? a deff man can see he's got a good voice. what your saying is like,

gibson doesn't make guitars, WTF i fucking have one how do you explain that, you can't deny facts bitch.

your probably one of those people who thing the moonlanding is fake.. lol

  • looks like he has down sydrome

  • Great guitar tone.

  • No. If the guy had a voice he'd be set. His voice sometimes can't overcome the sound of his band.

  • @seymourbbest - I disagree his voice is great, quite rich and velvety. It's not a big booming voice like a lot of the blues artists have, but he can certainly hold his own against his band.

  • @seymourbbest I think you can blame a lot of that on the mix engineer or maybe his guitar signal is bleeding into his vocal mic (well, I know that's happening for sure but, I mean in an inordinate amount).

  • I swear his voice is even better than his guitar playing !

  • he looks like a chubby version of steven wilson here...

but sounds like a goddamn blues preacher

  • Vin de Mariani

  • If you want to see the best cover of this ever played watch this one:

    type in Bedales Bonamassa.

    insane guitarist!

  • thanks for helping us spread the word friends. Please go to Joe's Official Channel and subscribe!

  • this guy's career is going nowhere but up. In the last two years he has exploded into this blues king and I couldn't be happier about it. He is the best going right now. He can pay homage to the classics and right with modern style too. And damn that Slash top on that Les Paul is sexy!!

  • 2:08 !!! What a riff !!! Great !!!

  • I really hate that guy. BF this is my opinion and only.

  • 32 justin bieber fan came here and disliked the video

  • Damn! What happened to that hair man? You look HAWT!

  • almost sounds like greg allman!!!

  • almost sounds like greg allman!!!

  • All his work is awesome, but this is easily his best album.

  • For those who are complaining, it's BLUES ROCK, not traditional blues. People who like this should also check out Warren Haynes, Government Mule, Walter Trout...just some free advice.

  • @wood0194

And Derek Trucks, and Rory Gallagher, and Alvin Lee. and for dessert have some Savoy Brown.

  • @MrBluesrules

    Exactly...keep on truckin...

  • Joe is the new KING of the blues! Thanks Joe, Ben Robinson

  • Who are the 32 idiots that don't like this tune, Joe is the master

  • Never sounds shrill when he hits those high notes does it! I mean I know that its an LP but that is one seriously smooth tone!

  • wat billy sheenan?

  • Ich will niemanden zu nahe treten, aber das ist nicht mein Musik Geschmack.

  • Exceptionally ordinary player.

  • yet more "blues" guitar from tidy "great" musicians...yay

I'd be embarrassed to be another "blues" player

  • ... groovin' ;)

  • @klank67 Yes my brother - groove jak huj ! :)

  • @shathann ... you know it, my friend ... I encourage you to see him live if you can ... it's even better!

  • Bonamassa looks just like David Gilmour.

  • I recently heard "The Ballad Of John Henry" for the first time and I thought.. "Man this is awesome! But wait, I think I know that voice!". Then I listentened to this track and I knew I'd heard this riff before, so I started looking op live version. Turns out I actually saw this broadcasting live on TV as a 16 year old kid! I remember trying to get his CD back then but I couldn't get it anywhere those days so he kinda slipped to the back of my head.. I'm so glad I re-discovered him now!!

  • Great performance of a very talented guy.

Gonna see him in Gent 18 of April.

  • SOOOOO`COOL!!!

  • guitar hero

  • @Francosalvaneschi

    No guitar king.

  • Amazing song- 5th listen today, and I like it more each time!

  • Great song!! I agree with the poster that said Joe was underrated. Still he's one of my favorites!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • Joe was a child protegy at the early age of 5. He was talent search shows as the cute little boy that can play the guitar....and boy can he play. It is a shame he is small market. More people need to hear about Joe and they would love him.

  • He wears those sunglasses on the album art of Blues Deluxe! :D

  • its a jcm 900 i think

  • any1 know what is the top marshall head is? I know the bottom one is a 1987 Marshall Jubilee

  • @TheBucket4Life

    hey its a 1974 marshall superlead 100

  • sik

  • Wow, toen bestond Talpa nog :'D

  • Very bluesy. This sounds a bit like the group "Cream" from the 60's. Joe's solo sounds very similar to Clapton while with Cream.

  • No that is not Billy.

  • thats not billy sheehan on bass is it?

  • That thundering chord at 4:01 nearly knocked the camera over.

  • @jamthisplaceout I literally lol'd when I went back and watched it again.

  • Sounds like early ZZ Top when Billy Gibbons ripped on his LP.....wha' happened????

  • @capmwhatsup His manager.

Joe used to absolutely kill, but for small audiences. His new manager has brought him straight into the public's attention, alas it has been at the cost of his musics quality.

That being said, I like his new stuff. But not as much the old stuff.

  • dit is echt gewoon geniaal :p

  • great song joe i listen to it everyday, thanks for the post

    jake

  • Puta q Paril esse Joe Toca muiiito .

  • Quite an amazing sound with character!

  • Looks like a modified SL-X on top of the Jubilee. Interesting.....

  • that '59 les paul gets my rocks off

  • Hail Joe!

  • Yeh I reckon thats the way to go.. all you need is a marshall :P

  • and the silver jubille too...

  • The gear with he played at this performance sounds really good. I like the sound of this Les Paul, and the JCM200 sounds pretty good.

  • dobre w huj'

  • amazing......beautiful.......

  • the coolest

  • Fabulous

  • haha bogie with long hair

  • I miss the tone of Czar here, i loved his sound in the mix.

  • Thank GOD I'm not the only one who misses Czar!!! He PUSHED Joe to always be on the top of his game, now he's gone and Joe is "The Artist" with a backing band. THAT SUCKS!

  • Tone to da bone...just like old ZZ Top.

  • @teleclasster bad to the bone

  • such good tone seen this guy live, fuckin knows how to play

  • haha carl huybrechts wat doet ie daar nu weer? man wat een tone heeft die kerel, das de manier hoe je een les paul speelt

  • bad ass song!

  • diggin' the Neumann KSM105 vocal mic

  • is that a real 1959 Les Paul?

  • no it's a reissue, he played a real one last month for the first time he said. i was there :P it sounded awesome!

  • This is Rockin Blues, the real deal.

  • It's nice to hear something somewhat original. very good, I got this song on repeat.

  • theandf**k***rox2badjbsux

  • amazing what you can produce with just 3 guys.

  • OMG his voice is sooooooo gooooooooood!

joe is my favourite guy! :)

  • this song reminds me a little song by budgie "you'r e biggest thing since powdered milk" but it's still good

    bonamassa kick ass !

  • Nobody like him. He plays a Gibson a lot, but also does the Strat.

A truly gifted, astonishing blues rock player.

    Mercy!

  • Fantastic.... just completely f'ing fantastic

  • the breakdown at 2:05 is very zeppelin

  • Actually its the riff of the song hocus pocus of the dutch guitarist Jan akkerman.

  • i never said its impossible to have a great stage presence when u sing and play i just said it harder

  • RNRDOLL, have to disagree - think his voice is great. Very, very talented guy.

  • Bonamassa is the best!

  • ahahha vandaaag ga ik hem weer zien

  • the best i workout to this cranked

  • amazing breakdown is very zeppelin

  • check my riffs

  • This was the first song I heard by him and right from the start I was hooked.

  • Me too! I read about him and this was the first clip I saw - life will never be the same

  • @hardrockerdave94 know exactly what you mean dude, "From Nowhere in Particular", such a great live album

  • @hardrockerdave94 yeah me too lol

  • @hardrockerdave94 Same xD and it only got better from there!

Been into Joe for over 3 years now,, and now Im 16, I can safely say he's my guitar hero :P

  • @ScageyGuitarist Yeah, I'm 16 too, glad to see there's more people my age that like some good fuckin music. Have you ever seen him live? He's amazing, I saw him just before he became really sucessfull in Manchester when I was nearly 14.

  • @hardrockerdave94 Yeah same here, what I love more and more about Joe, is that he's got such a great personality, and spends so much time talking to his fans, and relating to the younger audience, so in a way, he's single-handedly getting youngsters back into decent music! And yeah, seen him 4 times, can't get enough of the guy! Love him =D... There's a vid I uploaded of when he called me up at his clinic in Southampton if you wanna watch (: Peace man...
