  • Sean Parker: Genius, Legend, Billionaire.

  • good legs :)

  • If you get the internet phone provider rogers they already have a security system you can get thats live streaming cameras that you can watch on your mobile phone. They advertise even if a wires cut to your house they will still work.. kinda creepy having cameras in your house that run through rogers and get sent to your phone live. wonder who else can see what they see.

  • lol he sounds crazy but mabye it's because some people don't understand everything he's saying, I don't know. But I know social media sites are watched very carefully and I do believe it's a way for governments and/or whoever that has the technology to be able to basically spy on everyone who uses them. I'm sorry but do you want a future where your likes, dislikes and everything about you is not private (most likely isn't anymore anyways).

  • he/s full of coke and its not the drink.

  • i disagree with what he says about friend groups. then i would have to deal with facebook comments like "why am i in the dumb bitches group?" or "yo take me out of your weed connects group"

  • Comment removed

  • geez, how did JT end up playing this guy? Maybe someone like Jack Black or Jonah Hill might have been more of a match. Physically speaking...

  • I don't know what it is about him - (and this is nothing I have gleaned from watching The Social Network) but the guy seems like a bit of a sociopath. You can tell he enjoys the sound of his and voice and opinions - even when most of them are bullshit.

  • I think Mr. Parker was sniffing a little snow before this interview ;)

  • @Riddlerx333x I was just thinking that.

  • @cannedkoolaid

    The casting was perfect

  • They should've had Jesse Eisenberg play Sean Parker and Timberlake play Mark Zuckerberg

  • @CannedKoolaid yeah your right ....

  • Sean looks kind of scary with those glasses

  • at 4:00 he described the new subscribe button on Facebook. haha.

  • What's with the Harry Potter specs?

  • jailbird glasses are jokes

  • Sean Parker is far more interesting than Mark Zuckerberg. I actually like the anonymity of Twitter, but I find myself on Twitter more than I do no Facebook because I do not want to deal with my friends and associates in real life.

  • So at 11 min he basically breaks down that early on it was mostly upper-middle class "educated" people on facebook, and non-educated lower class or "materialistic" people on Myspace. So he tried to explain the early "exclusivity" of facebook without insulting myspace users, although im sure 99% of facbook users at some point have had a myspace account.

  • @tazbo28 MySpace was low brow not because of who was on there, socioeconomically, but because they allowed full control over your presence. So you could put in CSS and HTML code into your sites that you did not fully understand (someone else developed it, cut and paste, etc.) and it would slow down the time your page loaded up. Facebook had a one size fits all approach, no customization, and delivered a better experience. Twitter gave even less than what Facebook provided.

  • @tazbo28 The technology and standardization behind Facebook is what drew people away from MySpace and other networks. A lot of people just stopped blogging altogether and went to Facebook.

  • I think this guy is pretty smart!

  • Nice glasses

  • lol Justin Timberlake was like the cool ladys man big shot douchebag..... this guy is just a geek

  • That guy looks smart in the movie and in person.

Mark Zuckerberg seems smart in the movie but really looks stupid when he talks.

But hey, he's a billionaira and on paper funny.

  • Pretty much a loser.

  • @9273941658 Yeah he's just a multi millionaire loser. You're the cool dude complaining on the internet.

  • his glasses looks like harry potter

  • Coke makes me babble talk.

  • This interview is like the sequel to Revenge of the Nerds. I can't stand these twitchy nerds! Nerds! Nerds! Neeeeeeerds!

  • This interview is interesting you just have to NOT be a dipshit

  • you give me the amount of cocaine this guys on and I'll rant for 15 minutes too

  • Nice

  • This guy is hideous. Played by timberlake?

  • @ 1:35 the lady in the back "checked-in" on facebook to the most boring interview ever.

  • ISn't he KRS ones brother?

  • this dude is boring!

  • @SirLanceMan you sir is boring and unoriginal.

  • you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life

  • wheres the coke

  • justin timberlake mustve really wanted to just play the roll cuz him playing this guy is fucking halarious.

  • Facebook was written by the CIA, that is documented fact .

  • He just described Google + circles lol .

  • @KypHeM

  • Facebook sucks , cool people don't have Facebook pages , unless they are in a band or something. Personal Facebook page makes you uncool .

  • @MindofaJedi

Facebook doesnt suck, its the best social networking site out there. Its very sucessful which is a fact. Your opinion is just one of the millions that doesn't matter.

  • The girl in the back left and thought F*** it lol

  • lol.. "MySpit... uh MySpace"

  • Good info here.

  • wow Justin Temberlake made this guy look kinda cool

  • @TheBlargh3124 tooo cool

  • Respond to this video... too cool

  • I'm CEO Bitch!

  • joe doe CEO, Bitch

  • Dude, Sean Parker is not socially incapable. He's kind of nerdy no doubt, but he was the guy that sold Facebook to all the VCs and Capital groups in Facebook's early days. Saverin couldn't have done that, and wasn't there to do it. Also, Parker situated Mark so that nobody could come in and take over or take Mark out as CEO. Sean was tremendously instrumental in Facebook's giant success

  • Although Sean Parker is relatively wealthy and will live his life without financial stress or pressure, in the long route his social incapabilities will cost him dearly. I think the portrayal of Parker in the Social Network was comparatively accurate, however, I do not believe he is such a 'bad' person as the movie characterises him. If Parker was not so greedy about monetary value and gave charitably, his identity and image and therefore Facebook's image would be virtuous.

  • People should be wary of anyone who limits your access to information, via logarithyms or any other subset dividers. Especially if they are doing so while espousing ideas of freedom and communication. Knowledge is power and those who find ways to manage it are called billionaires. Way down on my personal list of information managers would be Sean Parker.

  • @HotAndy11 Smart smart smart!

  • What a nerd.

  • Parker hypnotized Zuckerberg and reeled him in. Why should he get 7% of Facebook? I have an idea Parker was the main force in fucking Eduardo Saverin over. Saverin however, still has more money than God.

  • He's just a blagger!

  • thums up if you think this guy is a bauss

  • SIMPLY.:'COPY'`:&.`.PASTE,,:

    SIMPLY'':COPY,,'&.`,PASTE`,,

  • he's a drogadict talking to much and for me is not make sense what he saying lol

  • fuckin drogadict

  • those legs are distracting

  • The one major flaw of personification (tailoring to tastes) is the shunting of spontaneous discovery. How many of you out there have ever made friends, discovered something interesting, found a book, came upon an article quite by accident - when not looking for it? And how many have had that discovery change the course of their lives? I think everyone, to some degree. Tailoring restricts and makes us less wide-ranging creatures of smaller scope and vision.

  • A Seanathon ...... now I know what the film ref to lol.

  • @khasseki You want to end the party at 11.

  • Haha, I'm a 22 year old programmer. It's interesting because I read some of the comments here and see that Mark and Shaun get bashed for being "not-cool." To me these guys are my idols, and when they speak I think they are the coolest dudes ever. Sappy? Maybe. Truthful? You bet! = ) Nerds just think differently altogether I guess, haha.

  • @gatoradelank I will give Sean Parker pussy and Im not even gay.

  • who cares what these ppl are portrayed as its the same ole story in america a smart guy comes up with an idea and a dirty schemeing scum sucking kike comes in and steals it..lol if honestly anybody thinks that zuckerberg created f/b is delusional

  • @steven4rmnewyork i agree w u... wat mark did was unethical...

  • @weezerfootie or was it darwins theory.

  • @thespec64 darwins theory has no place for ethics... we're humans not dogs... :|

  • @thespec64 I think you mean Social Darwinism lol not the theory of evolution

  • Shean Parker is the reeason why you tube exist...because you tube is a different kind napster...If you think about it, you just not shearing song, you are actually sharing videos, from someone else channell who downloaded the videos, from anykind of digital media.

  • Sean Parker and Mark Zuckerberg are both nice guys. Obviously the movie had to make them look like dicks. Watching two nice guys make a website would have been way more boring.

  • Im going to register on some programign clases today...enen though I have been self studying C++ for trhe last three weeks, and I feel that Im realy getting a hold of it.

  • comment removed by Facebook

  • i thought hed be better looking

  • It's not ironic that a social awkward genius came up with the most popular social gathering location on the internet. It takes a computer dork to understand that code. These types are typically outside of the popular social crowd, so why not create your own. They long for the social interaction that they become the best observers of it from the outside. The ones who are already on the inside are too busy being cool to think about what it takes to be where they are at.

  • @kalbic spoken like a true nerd

  • @kalbic there's chinese social networks that are larger.

  • @kalbic yea but its still ironic

  • @kalbic no wonder he decided to call anyone of someone knows on facebook a 'friend' . he probably didn't have any and wanted some

  • How easy it must be to exploit other people's work and talents in order to make yourself look like a 21st Century genius. Piracy that is convenient is still piracy - however Mr Parker wants to dress it up in order to get a soundbite as long as his real concern for musicians and artists.

  • not so shocking actually, they simply adapted socialization to a medium that they were more comfortable with and accurately the networks are a very distorted reflection of your real identity. Its all so sad

  • not so shocking actually, they simply adapted socialization to a medium that they were more comfortable with

  • What was that cough ?

  • The Don King of internet world for sure .

  • "Drop the, "The" in " The FaceBook" , just call it Facebook It Sounds More Clean" - Sean Parker

  • @bbkingx You actually quoted Justin Timberlake, not Sean Parker, lol.

  • @deejayjohnnyblaze lol well the movie Sean Parker said it

  • @bbkingx The real Sean said it too. The movie got it from the real thing.

  • @deejayjohnnyblaze The real Sean said it too. The movie got it from the real thing.

  • @bbkingx Hmm. I swear he said cleaner and not more clean.

  • he's alright

  • Why is he talking like he's been working on it since the beginning?

  • How old is this?

  • Comment removed

  • @MARADIEGO Your face sucks.

  • are they jewish

  • Sean Parker did not just "barge into projects". Without someone that is business saavy and can peek into the future, then great ideas will remain just as that.....great ideas. Zuck did the right thing(obviously) bringing him onboard. It is a symbiotic relationship. It is a pity that many of you are too dense to comprehend these dynamics. Sean is a visionary ace in the deck. Good card to play when needed.

  • Why is he using "WE"... we did this and we thought that... fuck him, he should be saying "THEY" ... He only barges into projects and act like hes part of them. He did not invent napster (shawn fanning did) he did not contribute any real hard work to facebook (no codes, no marketing, just his mouth). Shit, he never even went to college... The only association he has to higher education is fucking sorority girls.

  • the fact that justin timberlake pissed you off in one movie and made you love him in another just shows that he is such a great actor

  • This guy is such a punk. He never invented anything. I hate when people call him the creator of Napster, he clearly isn't. He finds out when people are doing something that is going to be great and he's so eloquent that he gets people to attach him to their projects. He was basically homeless off and on until he got his hooks into Facebook. Then when he's on top he does drugs and gets into bar fights with bouncers. I can't wait to see what he does next.

  • hes glasses is soooo gay!

  • @wakko380

I think you mean "his" and "are". Writing like a retard isn't cool despite what many 12 year old girls may tell you

  • @novicerower2010 im sorry, im 19 and my sister who's 11 years old is using my account. Im sorry about that.

  • @wakko380

    haha dont worry!

  • I dont know if TSN portrayed him in an accurate light, but its a very retarded way of thinking to think 'oh look, facebook, this could be huge...im going to muscle my way in and make it look like im helping the founders out when secretly im just here to put minimum input into the company and frame people hmmmm.'

  • How much coke is this guy on?

  • @lalalandguy why do you care!? he would be smarter than you in any life condition! dont blame people for drugs, or we should blame you for beeing not enough intelligent! go make yr jokes somewhere else idiot, you are talkin about a guy that distroy the world with napster when he was 20! he wins and won, you lose.. u meaningless person, u better start doing some drugs, at least get some fun goin on in your life.. i hate people who looks at private life of the others, get out of here

  • @2muchsnow4mynose

If you are going to use Sean Parker (who I am guessing is your hero) as an example of intelligence. At least defend him while spelling the words in your diatribe correctly. You misspelled every 3rd word it seems. If you are going to insult others, (and defend this thug) do it by correctly using the English language. Or maybe you are some super smart 'code geek'? So morals, values and the ability to show proper command of the English language is not high up on your to do list

  • @drbayoms he is not my hero, just a person that i consider smart, anyway.. i guess you have my same idea, if all you have to say about my comment is something regarding my english. im quite sure i can express myself pretty well in my not-native language. thanks for yr very precious advice tho, ill try my best next time, as i am try my best not to offend you, even if i really would like to.. twat! surely yr proof of intelligence defending opinion over "correct grammar" didnt persuade me enough

  • how much cok is this guy on?

  • hmm i didnt know any of these people (eccept for Mark Zuckerberg) before Social Network

  • his meeting with mark made him a billionaire, the guy is godly rich now

  • i haven't seen the movie .but i think it should be a documentary with facts movie rather than drama!

  • Awesome film! watch it for free at TheSocial-Network . com

  • i DON'T KNOW the movie is look the same but if he do everything to got out the co founder eduardo saverin is bullshit what he saying

  • This man is so articulate and intelligent, but seemingly out of touch in a social sense. The irony that he, and Mark Zuckerberg (also very socially inept), introduced us to the most influencial social website to date is so ironic that it's killing me.

  • @cbelles people always want what they don't have... and the people that are the best at what they do, usually are striving to correct or fill what they themselves lack

  • @cbelles people who seem socially inept may not be, its more likely that you just cant relate and therefore have nothing useful to say when its your turn.

  • @cbelles

well, you need to understand they are software programmers, computer geeks. In that sense, I think the fact that they even give interviews, shows a degree of social aptitude that most computer nerds lack.

  • @cbelles explain to me the social skills needed to be efficient in business and programming and ill concede to this "irony"

  • @cbelles Facebook is as socialble as a one way mirror enabling anonymity in order to pass notes in the dark without fear of confrontation. I see little irony in that. For those with social phobias it unquestionably has helped open their social potential......the question is, however, will it have a detrimental effect on otherwise socially healthy individuals by keeping them locked indoors?.

  • @cbelles I wouldn't say he's completely ouch of touch. He gets the ladies for sure- the movie was correct in that part.

  • @cbelles I guess since they were detached they were able to observe it (the social world) from a more...objective perspective, and were able to market it.

  • @cbelles Your calling them socially inept? You try going on television id bet you would be.

  • @cbelles It's not ironic, it's inevitable. People who are intelligent but don't interact well in the real world, adapt in other ways such as electronic communication.

  • @cbelles It's not ironic, it's inevitable. People who are intelligent but don't interact well in the real world, adapt in other ways such as electronic communication.

  • @cbelles It makes perfect sense. Mark and Sean are out of sync with society, so they create a social website which they can hide behind the internet and feel more comfortable. See? It makes sense.

  • @cbelles Thats interesting but it also makes sense in a way. I mean the myspace guy started the whole thing because he had no friends

  • @cbelles Agreed. These guys are lacking something humane in their eyes. It's like they're robots.

  • @blueguitarblue The same can be said for any human being who is incredibly intelligent/smart. Come on...It's not that they aren't "humane", it's just they understand concepts/ideas, and facilitate the creation of said concepts/ideas that are different than the average joe, who can hold great conversations about their favorite "Dancing With the Stars", or "American Idol" contestants. We see this, less and less, so when we see people like this pop up, we equate them to, well, being "different".

  • @cbelles

You just hit the nail on the head :)

  • @cbelles really

  • Comment removed

  • @cbelles

its certainly ironic, but at the same time, very fitting. Mark Zuckerberg has created a way to socialize and communicate that is very indirect and is able to bypass personal, intimate human interaction. It's much easier for a socially awkward individual like Zuckerberg or Parker to socialize behind a keyboard and computer screen. His social ineptitude is easier to hide through a social networking interraction.

  • @tenac20

sean parker is not socially inept. fucking period

  • @cbelles not ironic, if yo want to understand something you hve to look at it from the outside, it makes perfect sense. The kings in most cultures are those further away from the community but create society to live in.

  • @cbelles dont be a hater

  • @cbelles its because they are on the outside looking in and there for have a broader perspective and understanding

  • what the shit

  • Timberlake did not portray zukerberg...

  • @HolyJosue honestly, Justin Timberlake doesn't have the right acting talent to potray Mark Zuckerberg as well as Jesse Eisenberg did. Although Timberlake does look more like Zuckerberg.

  • he looks like Harry Potter xD

  • justin timberlake made him look like such a dick

  • @tackywacky99 because he is kind of a dick... he seems like one of those loser nerds who gets money and lives vicariously because people are attracted to the money but not him

  • @tackywacky99 lol EVERYONE made him look like a dick. the music industry,- eduardo's character really bagged him in the movie, lol but yea they played him out to be a really bad guy

  • @tackywacky99 how much of that movie was true anyway?

  • @tackywacky99 o_O he is. What are you saying?

  • @tackywacky99 LMAO

  • @tackywacky99 Timberlake made him a rockstar,,,,

  • @carychilton Amen

  • @tackywacky99 Correction: The people who wrote the script made him look like such a dick.

  • @letmestayy

No, genetics made him a dick.

  • @tackywacky99

You just hit the nail on the head :)

  • @tackywacky99 He's an absolute genius. I mean I want to make a movie on this guy just to make his image change. He's brilliant didn't go to college and within 1 year he's partying with Napster living like a genius like him should.
