YES the balls are magnetic, NO this doesn't pose an immediate threat to electronics, because the level of magnetism is just too damn low (for example: put a paperclip close to the balls and it still will not cling to them)

You are absolutely right. Also, magnets are dangerous for hard drives (because they rely on certain areas of them to be magnetized in a certain way), but i'm pretty sure keyboards don't rely on magentic fields but on electric fields.

Every key is attached to a small condensator. By pressing your key, you move the two plates of the condensator closer together, which is detected by your computer.

Bringing a magnetic field close to it (especially a small one) won't change anything
