It was connected to a "concentrator" which pulled oxygen from the air and sent it down the tube to keep me alive.
I had a lung disease called IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). They don't know what caused it - I never smoked or worked with asbestos, etc. Then in December 2008 I had a double lung transplant at the Toronto General Hospital that saved my life. So no breathing tube now !!!
