  • Where are you located? Asking because of the right-hand-drive T3.

  • subaru engine? all the t3's petrol engines was water cooled "Wasserboxers".. only the diesels where inline 4's

  • @letmesnitch

Yes, with a Subaru engine - 2.2 EJ22 motor, installed on an RJES conversion bellhousing and Smallcar parts.

  • @letmesnitch there was in early days of t3 busses also 1,7l and 2,0l aircooled boxermotors

  • Does is pritty well -:)

  • One thing is better in the vw engine. It is indestructible! Especially the old turbo diesel!

  • Dude! That thing was a beast! I feel bad for you having to sell it, but over here in the US they live on as rally/crawling legends! I have myself a '72 Bus that I'm trying to find an aircooled Syncro chassis for.

  • Get yourself a 2ltr aircooled Type2 twin carbed engine from the early later shapped T25, along with the complete transmission and you'll be fine. VW didn't make (except for the ubber rare early post war beetles etc..) a syncro set-up for the aircooled tans etc...

  • This bus is sadly now gone. With VW obsoleting parts for the Syncro at a rate of knots and the NERC Act closing over 50% of off-road routes in the UK there seemed little point in hanging on to it!

  • Wicked! I can't wait to get my Subie 2.5 installed in my '90. How many miles do you have on yours? Is yours the 2.2 or 2.5l? Nice knobbys and gotta love the mirrors!

  • VWs kick ass. Nuff said.

  • must be easier to do that wit a boxer. more importaintly a subaru's.
