Boy, love this joint!! Wishing On A Star was always a classic joint as is!!! I got this on 12" with all the remixes, instrumentals, & acapellas!! Great post!!! I didn't even know there was a vid for this!! CLASSIC!!!
visionfactoryuk know their Bristol music, you are thinking of Carlton, had 3 classics; cool with nature, do you dream & love and pain......the album was called 'The Call is Strong'.........
what's mad is that i know this exact video clip - the way it fast forwards at the end - we had this clip on video off this same edition of the chart show - :)
big tune from da old days, love these styles. anyway can anyone remember a hiphop track sampling this beat, i think erick sermon did but im not sure !! anyone know ?

Heh, I think about a gazillion hip-hop groups sampled funky drummer. :) But I think the track you mean is "Please Listen to My Demo" by EPMD. It samples Faze O's "Riding High".
Well this is one of my 12"s which is well bloody knackered! ow many times this buggar got dropped i dunno! I Remember being told when the video was being shot and loads of us were gonna bowl down there! Probably got pissed up instead! Wurd Brizzle
Amazing! I remeber this video so clear from 'The Chart Show' years ago. I taped it and lost it! But now it is found. Thanks mate. A total blast from the past!
I remember first seeing this on German T.V. and though damn, they're using a sample of James Brown's "Funky Drummer" which is one of my favorite samples.

Hehe, that beat was popular back during the turn of the decade (89-90's). Also used by Sweet Seduction and Strawberry Flip.
