  • They always manage to incorporate rock metal into a different level with lots of other sounds to make it sound totally different, giving it its own sound that you can't pigeon hole into one catagory. Which is great!

  • We are accidents Waiting

    ...Waiting to happen...

  • More than a few years ago, I fell into a dark time - wasn't sure if I would see the following year.

All at once many things happened at once: took ownership of my crap, sought help and found Radiohead.

They are clearly one of the most awe-inspiring bands to record music. Not saying they "saved me" but every time I listen to them I am inspired and renewed - during the ugly times their music was a safe escape.

in my view they will forever be the best band the world has ever known.

  • Phil on backup vocals? awesome

  • I love this jam. I mean no harm in asking if anyone knows of a blues song that resembles the main riff of "therethere" through the verses. I heard it on some local radio show a couple years ago, but I never tracked it down. Any clues?

  • one of the greatest versions of this song...

  • yeah

    i adore Kid A

    its so surreal

and it packs a fucking whallop,

  • how does thom create that feedback at the start

  • He's playing a Gibson hollowbody. Hollowbodies feedback very easily, so all you really have to do is face the amp, which is what Thom does.

  • jep, that's true. I've got an ibanez artcore series, you just hold the chord you want, face the amp and because the entire body vibrates to the vibes from the amp, you start creating feedback

  • hollowbody guitar + closeness to amp = feedback

  • Radiohead's bassist has a very, very distinct style. Incredible. Right hand technique and sound especially, he plays effortlessly and greatly.

  • la mejor banda del mundo

  • god bless my BBC's

  • There There Otras de mis canciones favoritas de mi mejor grupo RADIOHEAd... Ya quiero saber cual es el nuevo ALBUM de Radiohead..!

  • Yo tambien. y sabes que? a quien le importa?

  • Uh, es ese día del mes, querida?

  • it's the first time i heard Thom miss a note (check 2:34) :P

but the performance is amazing anyway. as usual :)

  • check 4:03 also.. Ed's left hand

  • LO MEJOR!

  • Radiohead is great and they have the best dressed drummer is the biz.

  • The thing is i don't like Amnesiac and Kid A but if Radiohead hadn't released them we would have all got board. Hail to the thief is the great antidote to those 2 albums, it's brill and so is this song. hope they'll release a new album soon!

  • GOD!

  • Radiohead ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I totally agree, like nobody i know likes experimental and unique music but they respect me for be different and not following the crowd.

  • people who do not give Radiohead thier dues are usually idiots. You dont have to think they are the best band on earth (as I, an most other Radiohead fans do) but you at least have to respect thier obvious talent. that simple. I dont really respect people that dont respect this band.

  • and i totally agree with you stagfromTOS. this song is so epic, god even phil is singing lol

  • i'll compare radiohead to disturbed. i used to love them before i discovered really GOOD music. disturbed got boring, cause all there music is basically the same thing, maybe not lyrically, but instrumentaly, the same thing. if radiohead was never a little different with each of their albums, it would get boring.

  • Comparing Radiohead with Disturbed is like comparing Spam with filet mignon. If you don't think Radiohead is "GOOD music", I really want to know what qualifies.

  • i love radiohead. maybe i should have worded differently. they are hands down right now my favorite band. i heard creep on the radio along time ago, and it wasnt my thing. then my friend was listening to kid a and that changed my musical perspective on everything.

  • I feel exactly the same thing. However, I started with Amnesiac. But it was Kid A that cemented Radiohead's position as my favorite band.

  • Disturbed is a teeny-bopper band with awful lyrical matter concerning exactly the same thing with every song, and terrible over-produced scratchy numetal bollocks for every single song.

    Radiohead are gods.

    That is where they're different.

  • ok, maybe we had a mis communication? i love radiohead. through and through everything they've done. GOD, i even get pretty cool kick out of "on a friday" if im in the mood lol. i think my fav would either be kid a/amnesiac or hail to the thief. u?

  • Kid A is my favouirite record ever made by any band.

It wasn't as soon as I heard it, but a bit later, I was hooked.

  • The thing is, sailingfreak, most people hate music nowadays, that's why we have 'artists' like Avril Lavigne and The Pussycat Dolls producing mind-numbing linear bullshite and being supported by money-hungry record companies to keep everyones minds and musical tastes the same.

If people actually liked music, Radiohead would be everyones favourite band, because to me they are pure music.

    Stag,

    X

  • I agree 100%

Music is an ever evolving entity, which makes Radiohead more musical than any of the Mickey Mouse club BS being pumped out in the American/British mainstream these days.

  • You're ABSOLUTELY right StagfromTOS!

And, I really really really hope that "Saillingfreak" is kidding...

  • Yeah... I feel the exact same way.

Pop music as we know it has changed people's minds so much that if you showed this to them, they would call it crap.

  • I think radiohead are one of those bands that you just cannot not like, They are so different all the time. ITs like saying that you don't like music

  • i was went on a trip to England

  • this one is good but the best one is sonic concert

  • great song

  • there's no way not to like these guys...

  • ive met ed o brien...he's pretty chill

  • he looks like a cool dude

    sick song

  • cool... when did you?

  • i envy you so much, i love him, he seems to be so cool, besides hes talented and hot

  • I want this song played at my wedding as im walking down the isle, or at my funeral when they're gonna drop my body in the hole.

  • Just the tip of an iceberg: an absolutely brilliant live band, which might seem difficult to imagine from recordings that sound impossible to replicate in a live show. Absoloutely brilliant, and absolutely brilliant Jonny, like a conjurer over in the corner with his box of toys...

  • Such a good song, and band.

  • i can never get tired of this song

  • I think jonny needs a bit more echo and distortion on his guitar. It doesn't sound anywhere near as 'big' as the album version.

    Good stuff though.

  • Phil sings whooo :P

  • Wow,brilliance.

  • this is brilliant... i dont think there are enough good things that could be said about them...

  • what an amazing song... those guys reaaalle really rule!

  • ahi va la verga!

  • Amazing.

  • sick

  • this basically defines them as the best

  • oh my god.. awesome rendition..

the only one wich is comparable to glastobury's
