Thanks for the how to video. Just replaced a broken shingle after watching this. Are the shingles sealed by heat or by a compound/urethane that doesn't require heat?

I see alot of videos like this one.. Want to be roofers. Did you hear what he said "' Break the seal" Once you break the seal its hard for it to seal back and with a wind like the one you hear on this video expect them to come back and replace the ones they did not seal. Its always good to seal the roof with a polyurethane sealant. I mean if you going to charge a 200 min come on make it worth it and do it right the first time. 26 yrs baby!

I get some water during the winter months under the shingles in one of my roof vallys. Should I just recemnt them down, and how far back (left and right) from the vally crease do you recommend?

@clipdan IF IT HAPPENS IN THE WINTER, ITS PROBABLY WHEN THE SNOW IS ON THE ROOF. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS INSTALL ICE SHIELD IN THE VALLEY. THAT MEANS YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE SHINGLES IN THE VALLEY BOTH SIDES. IF YOU NEED HELP I CAN MAKE A VIDEO ON REPAIRING A VALLEY LET ME KNOW. RILEY

If you haven't done so already, could you post a video for everyone showing how to do the same thing but up at the ridge line? I had a tough one just below the cap, so I had to loosen up the cap shingles without damaging them.

I don't understand but seeing a man with repair skills is hot. If he can leave all that grubby clothing at the door and transform into Mr. HQ lite...i would go straight. That's the way to a woman's heart. LoL

I have to repair two shingles and my brothers just want to glue the one shingle back and no regard to renailing or checking foe other blowaways. Thank u for a simple fix.

I see he nailed right on top of the "tar seal"?...does it matter that much or would it have been better to nail right above it?

@n5rdn IF HE NAILED ANY HIGHER THE NAIL WOULDNT GO THROUGH THE SHINGLE UNDERNEATH WHICH IS NOT RECCOMENED BY DOING IT MY WAY YOU WILL HAVE 8 NAILS GOING THROUGH EACH SHINGLE INSTEAD OF 4 NAILS

@bangworthy1 IF THE OLD SEALS ARE TO DRIEC OUT THEN U CAN USE THE CAULK GUN ON THE SHINSLE THAT CONNECTS WITH THE NEW ONES SO THEY WILL SEEL JUST PUT LITTLE DABS AND STEP ON THE SHINGLE TO FLATTEN IT OUT AND GET AN EVEN SEAL

Okay now i know how to replace a shingle actually already knew this but the problem is i need to replace a few shingles on my roof and the slope is huge i have to figure out where to buy roof jacks and how to install them for use ....
