I would say the Idea of NAU is good (all you who think is real) get help. I think the EU situation is quite different from the North America / Americas one. I don't think NAU is something viable. The EU parts from a very different situation. The "NAU" or "North American Union" is just a hypotetical union of the three North American countries. But, UNLIKE the right-wing conspiracy theorists say, it WON'T BE a merger of the three countries. None of the 3 countries need nor want to surrender sovereignty. As I already say, there might be a NAU in the future, but NOTHING LIKE the merger of the 3 countries.

@AlCovarrubias NAU was signed in 2005 to make amero the universal currency of north america. Here in Europe in 1992 The euro was signed. The euro replaced all major currencies of europe in 2001. This means that by 2013-2015 amero will have replaced the dollar. What euro did in the eurozone was destroy all the debt countries and increase the power of the others. This means that if eventually amero is implemented which it probably will, it will be the economic end of the USA.

I listened to Rush today. He said he plans to leave this country and immigrate to Paraguay or Uruguay. He suggested that all of hte conservatives move down there with him so that they could start a country with real conservative values. He thinks that if they get a critical mass number, the Uruguayans will be grateful for having hard working Americans in theiri country. I think it's a very good idea. I would say the Idea of NAU is good (all you who think is real) get help. The expantion of NAFTA aka SPP would make it easy for compinies to work with in North America community, ie its easier for candy maker to sell candy to china for canada but Canada has to make its candy diffrent to cell to the US. Mars Inc is supporting SPP would make candy making the same in all three nations not 3 diffrent ways to make candy. This would help with Medical companies and make things more streamline...

I think the EU situation is quite different from the North America / Americas one. I don't think NAU is something viable. The EU parts from a very different situation. We, the Europeans, do this baucase we are small countries (the biggest is Spain and it's smaller than Texas) and population (Germany with 80 million ppl) against monsters like USA, China, Russia, India or Brazil. We don't have anything to do in the new world order if we're not stand united as one block :(

You just have to look at the EU to understand why we need to stay well clear of a NAU.
The EU is un-democratic & dislikes the will of the people, furthermore it is a huge bureaucracy, far bigger than the federal bureaucracy. Economically it is fucked, just look at what has happened in Greece, Italy, Spain & Portugal: fiscal union leads to economic ruin. Mass population movements between areas of differing wealth is disastrous and helps no nations.
The NAU is un-constitutional and so unlawful.
