  • 4 people were somehow misdirected to this video instead of CoD:MW2 videos.

  • @TheCruel I doubt that happened

  • About the John joke, It's all because of the story of Robin Hood. :D

  • Sorry, I forgot who I was talking to. Huh?

  • One of my favourite moments in this game was when you're travelling through the intestines and you try and go further down into the colon, and he absolutely refuses to go that far... I never laughed so hard. ;)

  • Fortunately I still have my disc to this game. Unfortunately, it doesn't like Windows 7. Perhaps I can try to get it working under DOSBox

  • @joshcmagic

Yes, DOSBox is usually the best method to getting these old games running, especially on very new systems.

  • @joshcmagic

At the Sierra Help Pages, they have installers for all Sierra games that help get the game to play, also to play in DoxBox without problems.

  • GARY OWENS IS AWESOME!!! I wish I could meet him one day.

  • @CyclopeanLiam Hmm, both of those ideas DO make more sense than the coin in KQ6.

  • @Akril Finding that coin was a total beach D:

  • "All these people worked on this dumb game?"

  • Nice, even got stuff from the demo. I love Soylent Clear!

  • I don't get the the "grid" thing was "sexual"?

  • No, it's not. I just thought that the description of Roger spitting into the grid was funny, as well as his reaction to the description.

  • Um, I was referring to when he was in the jail cell? and also, the thing you are referring to is in the other video.

  • Oh, sorry, I got the two videos mixed up. The narrator's comment about the grid controls just mentions how strange it is that Roger calls computer "Mister". I just thought that that tangent the narrator goes off on was a bit amusing.

  • @Akril But how is it in any way "sexual"?

  • @HBourgoin When the narrator says, "It's a little objectionable to assign sexual identity to the computer", he means that it's strange that Roger should call the computer by a masculine term ("Mister") when the computer is just a machine and doesn't have any gender.

  • this game is a masterpiece

  • I have this game, in a CD

I brought this game when i took the Game Master magazine in greece, 1997 :)

it's amazing, i love this game!!!

Can someone please tell me where can i download this game again???

    Please, someone!!!

  • It's available in the Space Quest Collection pack on Steam or Direct2Drive.

  • I loved the space quest series this was the only one I never managed to complete, I will have to try and win it one day.

  • Oh man, do I love the narrator.

    Gotta find that CD...

  • This game is definitely not the greatest in the series, but the narrator definitely makes it well-worth playing.

  • wow this seems real fun i wanna play it :)

  • There are a few dull and frustrating moments in this game, but overall I think it's pretty good.

  • its not frustrating if you get the guide (:

  • "Wow! This makes my nipples hard."

  • You forgot after the energization, the narrator says "As we join our hero, Roger Wilco, he has just been transported to the surface of Polysorbate LX, to enjoy a little shore leave. Apparently, there was a minor glitch in the process. Well at least you got here with all your important parts: your hands, your mouth, and your stomach."

  • One of the best lines in the game is when Roger encounters an alien who introduces himself and then asks Roger what his mom calls him, to which Roger responds "A mistake. But my friends call me Roger Wilco."

  • I agree, that's a good one.

  • 0:50 E.T!

  • These games were great! Too bad this genre is pretty much dead.

  • That was the best game ever!

  • god... i miss those kind of games.

  • Me too. They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

  • This is great. Owen rulez

  • Mein Gott! A "Forbidden planet" reference at 2:39!

  • THat's right! Well spotted.

  • I loved all the space quest games. Space quest 6 was by far the wittiest.

  • "Wow! This makes my nipples hard."

  • "I wanna see something blow up!" :D

    Hur hur, he said "penal."

  • I LOVED the Sierra online games. Every last one of them was a gold mine of humor and fun. I wish Sierra never went out of business and kept making these games.

  • @hotshotter: and more the incredible machine

  • "Nyah! Nyah! Nyah! Cheaters never prosper!"

that line got me the most, since i've never heard Gary Owens do that kind of taunt before.

  • And one of the greatest ones of all, when you try to use the speak icon on inanimate objects, "Your words are so unspectacular, nature doesn't even see fit to grant it an echo."

  • Thank you thank you thank you!!! Such a great video!

  • I hope the legacy of Space Quest lives on! I just only knew about Space Quest's existance a few months ago (and I finished SQ 6 today) but I wish I've heard about it earlier. Long live Space Quest!

  • Shame Roger never gets treated with any respect. They seem Hell bent on treating him like he's some barely competent dumbass loser when he deserves far better.

  • Is he referring to Alexander's one-pixel insignia ring in KQ6? That ring scarred me in adventure games, because every time I get stuck, I wonder if all I've missed is some stupid tiny object I'm supposed to pick up.

  • I think it's actually the coin found on the same screen as the ring, but I'm not certain. Those easy-to-miss items caused me a lot of problems too.

  • Maybe, but the coin was a yellow dot on a dark brown surface, while the ring was an orange dot on a yellow surface.

  • Right. Maybe the SQ6 writers got the coin and the ring mixed up.

  • I... don't remember that puzzle being that hard. It's shining pretty brightly...

  • The ring was easy to find. I found it in the first few seconds of playing because it glistened. You can actually see it sparkle which is a dead giveaway in these games. The coin was a bit tough though, that I missed at first.

  • Yeah, poor Alexander XD

  • SQ rocks, we just got the boxset of all the games!! it is cool...

  • Ahaha, brilliant stuff. I miss the good old days of Sierra.

  • this is fantastic, thanks! post more!!

  • What capture software did you use? Fraps doesn't seem to want to work on these games

  • DOSbox has its own video capture utility built in (only in versions 7.0 and higher).

  • XD Space Quest 6 is so funny!

  • please do more memorable moments of the other space quest!!! these bring back great memories!

  • I might do some more videos like this if I have the time. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • oh my god finally some people who know what space quest is! this is the first time i've ever knew who gary owens was... since then he's became my favorite voice-over artist. this video is GREAT, i've heard some stuff i've never even heard from the game, such as the "this make my nipples hard" and "mini door" comments haha. THANK YOU

  • You're welcome! Yep, there are still a few of us SQ fans here and there. If only SQ5 had Mr. Owens as its narrator (or had any voices at all).

  • This game sounds absolutely hysterical.

  • It is. it may not be the absolute best of the series, but it's worth playing just for the dialogue and various sci-fi injokes. Vivendi Universal is selling the Space Quest games in a new collection which isn't much compared to the original collections, but it's the most convenient way to get and play the games.

  • "why am i talking to a light bulb ?, c'mon illuminate me" LOL hahahah good 'ol spage quest ! thanks for posting. - marty.

  • XD! Thank you!

  • You're welcome! Anything to keep the memory of these great games alive.

  • SQ6...quality game. Haven't played it for ages.
