Guys WTF are you talking about? The only reason you dont know the lore is because youre too lazy to read it... I have read it, its exact as interesting as WoW, and thrust me, I love lore, I think its one of the basic monuments in a game... but you dont care and you dont take interest into lore if you dont get it served in a platform game... please guys, be realistic instead of flaming on this game, who have done it soooo well...

Rift may have better graphics but one thing it lacks is story and that is what is hurting it most. I see this trailer and all I see is a bunch of cool effects but I don't know what the hell is going on. Who's the main villain? Why should I care about him? Most people know who Thrall, Arthas, Sylvanas are from the old Warcraft games. They emphasized those characters and made gamers care about them. That is why WoW is successful--part of it anyway--is because of its rich attention to lore.

@Kyphael This is exactly the key to wow's success - Warcraft had 3 RTS games do build it's lore and fan base - Trion come out with a MMO - no background whatsoever. This is the reason why i think the new SWTOR MMO will be a great hit, 1st due to the 2 previous games (KOTRO 1+2) - the story has already been established and it's Star Wars

@Borakai94 If they want me to buy the game, yes, yes I do, otherwise, why the hell should I buy a WoW copycat that did nothing for me other than throw a bunch of spiffy graphics in my face and say it's the most polished MMO EVORT? I'm the consumer, it's THEIR job to convince me to play their game and they obviously haven't done a good enough job to lure me away from WoW.

@Kyphael i kinda agreed but, cut them some slack. I play wow aswell & i once played this, i stopped because of its shitty engine but still all mmorpg's will have the same aspects of wow but wow also "copied" the same things from various amounts of other mmorpg's & you cant prove that they are directly copying & certainly not name them a "WOW copycat"...

Love me some wow... But the fact there have been 3 patches for rift so quickly with lots of cool new stuff makes me think.

@heath2357 lol guess wht dude one of my guildies in rift is ex blizzard and he blatenly told me blizzard does not give a F&*^ about the customers. trion is the exact opposite... do yurself a favor leave wow while you can!

this is an awesome trailer. i cant wait to try it out. i recently just got back into rift and also quit wow. i love what trion is doing and i look forward to see what they do in this game.
