I'm a somewhat distant relative of one of the victims, John Glick - the least the witch deserves in this case is life in prison - any alternative should be more severe. We essentially have no system of justice.
Even though I'm just seeing video and story for the first time...it's really sad and feel like this world had a great loss. He seems like a very fun and talented person. I just watched the show on Snapped (after reading about this case) and it really blows my mind how many people get sentenced for years and years for drug charges or being in the wrong place at the wrong time and someone like Jeanette Sliwinski gets off with barely any time. She must have blown the judge in more ways than one.
May the three innocent victims rest in peace. And may the killer, Sliwinski, live with this horrible crime she has commited, reminded every single minute, for the rest of her existence. What a senseless tragic. R.I.P.
What a beautiful video. All three of those men seemed like great people to have known. But I'm sure you already know how lucky you were to have had them in your lives. And they were very lucky to have people who will never forget them long after they're gone.
Thank you for sharing the light that was Doug. May friends and family of Doug, John and Michael find some sense of peace behind this horrible tragedy.
I just saw an episode of this case last night on t.v. i was shocked with the verdict. whether she was mentally ill or not, that was a very very light sentence. i never understood how differences are made in the law as far as murder counts. we have a very strange legal system. you can get more time in prison, for selling drugs, than you can for killing someone. this woman is probably sitting at home, enjoying her life, drinking tea, watching t.v. as if she wasn't responsible. HORRIBLE.
I knew Jon Glick from University of Wisconsin and was fortunate to briefly reconnect with him in Chicago. I really liked The Returnables and admired the hell out of his passion for music. What happened to him, Joe, and Michael is one of the great tragedies of my lifetime and I will never forget. My thoughts will always be with the Dalquist, Meiss, and Glick families.

The American justice system is so fucked and bias in most cases. I would have given her death row.
